This New Years Eve we took it easy. We went to Chris and Hadley's house for a low key night. We left around 11:40 and made it home for midnight. The boys made it until midnight because when we got home from Uncle Jason and Aunt Kelly's house at 3:30 we all took a Morton Family Nap. Oh it was so nice. I woke up at 5:08 and realized we were supposed to be at the party between 5:00 and 5:30. ooopppsssss

Trains at Northpark with cousins
Contract accepted 4745 Druid Hills
Well, they accepted our offer on the house with a few minor changes. They want us to use their Title Company and we will have to pay for the land survey if they cannot find theirs. We have been looking at this house for a long time. When we went to put a contract on it there was one on it and they had until December 31 to close. Well, the lady who put the contract on the house had a contingency on it to sell her house first. The contract fell through on her house she was selling so it was there for our taking :) So we put a contract on it.
We found out at 9:00 New Years Eve that they accepted! I do not think it has hit me yet though. I am still trying to process the entire thing. We still have not sold our house but could not pass up on this house. So we decided to bite the bullet.

Upstairs, to the rt. is looking into family room, left is looking towards front door, ahead is a bedroom and then game/media room

this is the media/game room, it is a lot bigger than it looks. We plan on taking out the half wall and adding a full wall with a door.

The kitchen. It has a double oven but Justin said we can take it out and put in a double microwave... ha ha ha

Standing in front door looking into family room
Back of the house.
So we put a contract on a house that we really love. We found out at 9:00 New Years Eve that they accepted! I do not think it has hit me yet though. I am still trying to process the entire thing. Hooters with the Caravellas
What can I say? We LOVE Hooters! The kids love to go and always have so much fun together. We usually go with the Caravellas and then head back to one of our houses to hang out.
Notice what Jonah and Luke are wearing... Today is the day that Mike Leach got fired from Texas Tech. When Justin told the boys to go and get dressed they went to their closet and Luke picked out his Tech warm up suit and wanted his Tech jersey underneath... Jonah picked out his black and red warm up suit and put a Tech shirt underneath. I guess they will always be fans :)

More snow in Frisco.
It can't be... more snow??? This is the third time in the past few weeks we have seen snow. The boys were SO excited. It started off raining and then the drops turned slushy and then into beautiful, huge snowflakes. They were so pretty, the pictures of course do not show how pretty they were. There was no wind so they were coming straight down.
Stefanie called and asked if we were getting more snow and she said that Tommy was going to be so jealous, so I told her I would take some pictures for her.

Funny Jonah...
Today after school we were walking to the car and when we got close to the car Luke started running. Jonah said, "Lukie, this is a side WALK, not a RUN walk..." I asked him where he heard that and he told me that his teacher said it.
Luke's first day of school 09-04-2009
Now here is the back of it

Luke started school today and was so excited. I went in and dropped him off and he just went over and started playing with Asher, could have cared less about me. He is excited because he is in the room that Jonah was in last year. He even has one of the same teachers... say a prayer for he and I :) Mommy is not very fond of this teacher along with many other parents... but am staying positive.

Oh the things he will learn...
I always heard that once your child starts Kindergarten they will come home with some new things they learn... Of course Jonah has been put at a table with one other boy and three girls so he of course has buddied up with the boy who will remain nameless.
Jonah is telling Luke a story and the word wedgie comes up. I asked Jonah who taught him that and he said, ______ in my class. I asked if he even knew what it meant and he said, "yea, ____ told me it is when you grab someone's underwear and pull it real hard." SERIOUSLY!!! this is going to be a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG year!
Pray for us :)

What did you do today?
So this is the burning question I ask Jonah every single day I pick him up from school. I guess I am hoping that one day I will get an actual answer instead of, "ahhhh nothin', played on the playground and ate lunch".
I am going to keep asking the question until I can physically talk no more :)
So we were sitting at dinner and out of no where Jonah said, "we learned about science today, we got to watch a movie on a huge screen and there are five ways". I asked him five ways of what, he answered with, five ways to know stuff. I dug a little deeper and he then pointed to his eyes and said, "you can see". Then proceeded to point to all his other senses, hear, smell, taste and feel.
I was SOOOOOO thrilled that he ACTUALLY brought some good info. home with him. Of course we had been over the five senses before but it was just nice to hear him tell me something he did at school.
He really is enjoying Kindergarten, of course it has only been a week and one day!

Luke's first soccer practice
I have NO idea why he is standing like this :)

Luke had his first soccer practice tonight. He was SO excited that he finally is old enough to play. We found out that Jack is on his team so he was really excited. All the boys did really well at practice. They obviously had older siblings who have played because they actually knew what to do unlike Jonah's team when they first started :) Luke even scored a goal.
