Organizational Announcement: Justin Morton & Rashid Wasiuddin

April 27, 2010

I am pleased to announce that Justin Morton has been promoted to Director of

Enterprise Architecture in the Information Technology department reporting

directly to me. In this role, Justin will be responsible for designing systems,

developing processes, and delivering solutions which support strategic business

objectives.

Justin started his career at Digital Switch Corporation and continued to expand

his technical knowledge at Electronic Data Systems, Quest Cyber Solutions, and

Vartec Telecom prior to joining Dresser in 2004. Since that time, Justin has

helped Dresser deploy and support a single global instance of Oracle at Wayne,

Roots, Waukesha, Suzhou, Shanghai, and Varsseveld. Additionally, he has led

successful data center consolidation efforts in 2006, 2009, and 2010 which have

provided a flexible platform from which to provide IT services through a

regionalized data center footprint.

I would also like to welcome Rashid Wasiuddin, Senior Network Engineer, to

Dresser. Rashid comes to us from Hewlett Packard where he was involved in

the design, architecture and implementation of worldwide voice and data

communication systems. Rashid holds a Bachelors of Business Administration

degree from Texas Southern University.

Luke's Spring Program, Going To The Beach

Luke had his Spring Program today and they were going to the beach. He got to wear his swimsuit and swim shirt to school and he was so excited. Luke is our little clown, we have NO idea where he gets it because his daddy and I were very shy and would not even go out on the stage... Thank goodness I had the video camera because he was up there doing his thing! Even the women next to me nudged me and said, "look at the little boy in the green" as she was pointing to Luke. I said, "he is mine". He was having so much fun up there.

Caravellas and Mortons

The Caravellas will be moving to CO in a couple of months and we will miss them so much! The kids always have so much fun together and LOVE going to Hooters with the vellas. Here are the kids just hangin' out.

oh Luke!

It is that time of year for teacher appreciation. Luke was asked to draw a picture for his teachers so they could be placed in an album for them to give to their teachers. I asked Luke to draw Mrs. Sandino and Ms. Scottberg a picture and then bring them to me when he was finished. When he brought them to me I asked what he drew. The top picture is for Mrs. Sandino, the assistant teacher and he drew a big heart because "she is smart at learning and teaching stuff." he said, "little hearts for Mrs. Scottberg because she is not very smart, but she is."

I about wet myself, I had to turn away so he would not see me trying not to laugh! As many of you know we have had some issues with Ms. Scottberg from when she was Jonah's assistant teacher last year.

Sophia update

Sophia has been doing GREAT! She is still having her little melt downs at night but that is normal and hopefully she will grow out of this phase soon. It really just breaks your heart to hear her so upset and nothing calms her down. It of course starts around 5:00 every night when I am about to cook dinner. She finally gives in and falls asleep for a couple of hours and then she will eat between 8-9 and then goto bed. She has been waking up once during the night for a little over a week now! It is usually between 3 and 4. It has been really nice seeing as how she is only 7 weeks old. WOOHOO! We go in for her two month check up this week so another update after the appointment.

Kindergarten Round Up

It is that time of year... Kindergarten Round Up! I registered Luke for Kindergarten today. When I told him that I was going to do it he was SO excited. He said, "am I in kindergarten now?" I am glad that he is so excited.

Where did the time go? I cannot believe he will be in kinder next year. I feel like I just shipped him off to mothers day out :)

Mia's 5th birthday at Interskate

The boys were invited to Mia's 5th birthday party at the roller rink. They were a little nervous because they had never been skating. They did AWESOME! They fell a lot but kept bouncing right back up. I was flying solo at the party, Justin was in Knox City on his first turkey hunt.

Just getting our skates on
this is pretty fun!
Doing the hokey pokey!

Easter and Justin's birthday lunch

We went to church with Dominic and Carlie this morning and the boys had fun in their class. We really enjoyed the sermon too. After church we went to mom and dads for lunch and we also celebrated Justin's birthday since he will be on his first turkey hunt next weekend. After lunch we headed down to Jason and Kelly's for dinner and the weather was nice enough for the kids to play out in the backyard.

Star of the Week

Jonah was the Star of the Week at school this week. He had to make a poster of things that he likes. He of course chose Star Wars :) We put pictures of him playing soccer, swimming, reading and then pictures of the family. He was so excited.

sweet big brother

I was cooking dinner and Sophia started crying, which is not unusual when I start making dinner every night :) She was not screaming out of control, just annoyed and wanted some attention. I look up and Jonah has come down stairs without me asking and is telling her that it is OK and not to fuss because he was there. He gave her the pacifier and held it for her and started watching TV. It made my heart sink... he is such an awesome big brother!

Sophia's baby bedding

My mom decided that she was going to make Sophia's baby bedding. She worked so hard on it and it turned out AWESOME! She put her blood, sweat and tears into it... and when I say that, I really mean the blood part :) She had so many pins in the dust ruffle with the ruffle she would poke herself and not know it and then she would find a drop of blood on it. I told her that it will mean something to Sophia one day. (smile)

THANK YOU Mimi for my bedding, I cannot wait to sleep on it!
