The kids and I loaded up And headed to Houston for Spring Break. Justin was swamped with work and had to drive down to Austin Wednesday for a meeting and Houston Thursday for a meeting and then met up with us Thursday night in Katy. We followed Ronnie and Theresa back so the ride was pretty easy, Keaton rode with me to help with The Hulk.
The ride down was uneventful except for the one stop on the two lane road they were doing construction on. Seeing as how we were stopped for a good 15 minutes or so I threw the car in park and looked at Keaton and said, "Chinese Fire Drill". He looked at me with a blank stare like I was HIS CRAZY OLD AUNT. He had NO clue what that was! So, I quickly explained to him what it was and around the car we went. I thought it was the PERFECT birthday present for his 15th birthday. I thought if he was stuck riding in the car on his birthday with his aunt and four little cousins we needed to make it a little fun for him! Happy Birthday Keaton!
Since we would be spending the week in Katy our goal was to finish what we had started New Years when we were there. Operation Clean Up, Organize and GET RID OF. Our main focus was the master closet. We started that and came to a complete halt when Ronnie and I were taken down by the stomach bug that hit! It hit us that night right after dinner. We were both up ALL night and even Jonah woke up and puked a few times... once in the kitchen sink and even on the game room floor. I was in NO condition to have to take care and clean up someone elses mess when I was down for the count but momma DOES NOT EVER GET A BREAK even when she is deathly ill.
Jonah bounced back the next day and was fine, Ronnie and I were on the couch ALL day sitting and could not move. Then later that night it his Theresa and Virginia Kate. IT WAS NOT PRETTY FOLKS! I knew something would happen seeing as how we were out of town and it was a puke free trip down in the car. Just keeping up The Morton way! That is how we roll.
So, Ronbo and I were feeling better so while Momma T was laid up in bed I got back in her closet. She could not see what I was doing... I am sure she won't miss that... in the bag it goes!
Justin got there Thursday night and Friday he worked a little and it rained most of Friday and Saturday.
After Momma T's closet was done we started in her bedroom and then the boys room, hall closet and toy room. Now, the only thing left is Causby and Kate's room.
Sunday we loaded up and hit the road. Sophia rode with Justin and I had the boys. I was ready to pull my hair out by the time we got home and Justin had a nice easy drive... go figure!
So proud of Momma T... She sent me a text the next week telling me things she had been going through and purging!
