More Baby Mocking Birds

I saw another mockingbird making a nest on our back porch.  We had so much fun watching all of this happen a few months back.  We cannot wait for the little things to hatch and watch them fly off!

Double Minters

From the day Tara told me she was pregnant I had to LAUGH OUT LOUD!  I still giggle every time I talk to her or think about her... not only is she prego, it is IDENTICAL TWIN GIRLS.  Yes, it is childish I know.  I remember when I laughed at Julianne when she shared the news of number four and about fell out when Daph told me she was prego with number four!  I soon learned what Karma was... Yep... Justin and I then found out we were expecting number FOUR!

Tara and Justin laughed at us and gave me ALL of their baby stuff because they were done,  or so they thought.  Then Karma hit them... TWICE!  lol

Justin sent a text letting me know that the Double Minters had arrived and everything was great!  Momma was great and so were both the girls.  I of course could not stand it so I went up the next morning after I dropped Seth and Sophia off at school to get my hands on those babies!

Kylie: 6 lbs 9 oz.
           19 inches

Kendall:  7 lbs 4 oz.
                20.5 inches

Kylie... I think :)
Kendall
Justin had some gum wrappers made
Friday night Justin, the kids and I all went up for a quick visit.  Jonah could hardly stand it and wanted to hold both the girls and wanted his picture made.  He LOVES babies.  He was at a friends house and when I called to tell the mom to send him home so we could go see the twins she asked if it was ok if he stayed there if he did not want to go.  She asked him and he told her he was going to go see the girls.

Spring Break... Houston

The kids and I loaded up And headed to Houston for Spring Break.  Justin was swamped with work and had to drive down to Austin Wednesday for a meeting and Houston Thursday for a meeting and then met up with us Thursday night in Katy.   We followed Ronnie and Theresa back so the ride was pretty easy, Keaton rode with me to help with The Hulk.

The ride down was uneventful except for the one stop on the two lane road they were doing construction on.  Seeing as how we were stopped for a good 15 minutes or so I threw the car in park and looked at Keaton and said, "Chinese Fire Drill".  He looked at me with a blank stare like I was HIS CRAZY OLD AUNT.  He had NO clue what that was!  So, I quickly explained to him what it was and around the car we went.  I thought it was the PERFECT birthday present for his 15th birthday.  I thought if he was stuck riding in the car on his birthday with his aunt and four little cousins we needed to make it a little fun for him!  Happy Birthday Keaton!

Since we would be spending the week in Katy our goal was to finish what we had started New Years when we were there.  Operation Clean Up, Organize and GET RID OF.  Our main focus was the master closet.  We started that and came to a complete halt when Ronnie and I were taken down by the stomach bug that hit!  It hit us that night right after dinner.  We were both up ALL night and even Jonah woke up and puked a few times... once in the kitchen sink and even on the game room floor.  I was in NO condition to have to take care and clean up someone elses mess when I was down for the count but momma DOES NOT EVER GET A BREAK even when she is deathly ill.

Jonah bounced back the next day and was fine, Ronnie and I were on the couch ALL day sitting and could not move.  Then later that night it his Theresa and Virginia Kate.  IT WAS NOT PRETTY FOLKS!  I knew something would happen seeing as how we were out of town and it was a  puke free trip down in the car.  Just keeping up The Morton way!  That is how we roll.

So,  Ronbo and I were feeling better so while Momma T was laid up in bed I got back in her closet.  She could not see what I was doing... I am sure she won't miss that... in the bag it goes!

Justin got there Thursday night and Friday he worked a little and it rained most of Friday and Saturday.

After Momma T's closet was done we started in her bedroom and then the boys room, hall closet and toy room.  Now, the only thing left is Causby and Kate's room.

Sunday we loaded up and hit the road.  Sophia rode with Justin and I had the boys.  I was ready to pull my hair out by the time we got home and Justin had a nice easy drive... go figure!

So proud of Momma T... She sent me a text the next week telling me things she had been going through and purging!

Seriously... someone call the hotline!

The Hulk Turns Two!

The Hulk turned TWO today!  I cannot believe how fast it has gone by.  He did NOT want a picture so this is all I could get... I tried all day and this was the only one that was not that blurry from him running off!

Morton Cousin Sleepover

Biggest Morton Cousin sleepover ever!  10 Morton cousins having a sleepover.  We were only missing Kaleb.  Momma T and Ronbo photo bombed.  The kids had a blast!

Sophia and Seth's Party

I decided to do a joint party for Sophia and Seth this year.  It was just going to be easier with basketball and Spring Break.

Of course with all the craziness that had happend these last few weeks I did not feel AT ALL prepared for the party.  I just ran out of steam and energy.  Justin has been working his tail off and I have NO idea how he is even functioning.  Seth and Sophia were both sick the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before the party so of course I got NOTHING done.  Two sick kids and out of town company coming...  no stress there :)

I needed the cake to be boy and girl appropriate so of course called Ashely to see if she could make it happen.  I sent her a picture of the invitation and she drew something up.  It was not really what I had pictured in my head so I told her that I want it split down the middle so when you turn it one way it looks like Sophias and then turn it around and it looks like Seths.  She of course did an amazing job as usual!

Cousin Fun

Carlie had a doctors appointment so we got to hang out with Noah!  This first picture was NOT planned.  Noah came and laid on the step and then the others followed his lead... I could not even believe I snapped the picture.

The boys facial expressions crack me up

Alison Turns 39

Today I woke up another year older... one year closer to 40!  I can honestly say that I do not feel "that old" until I get down on the ground and have to get back up.

Justin and the kids made me a card and some money to Banana Republic to do a little shopping.  I of course started the day with my GRANDE 6 PUMP NO WATER CHAI.  Later that morning we headed over to mom and dads for our birthday lunch.  It was freezing cold and raining and then it started to sleet.  We headed home before the roads got bad.

our drive home from mom and dads

Nori took me out to dinner to The Keg and I found my new favorite drink.  I have NO idea what it is called but...  Then we headed to Willow Bend and did a little shopping.  Thanks Nori!

I did not dress up for the party... because it was MY BIRTHDAY and I didn't want to.
