Baby

A few months ago we could not find baby... NOT good folks!  So, mom to the rescue.  I had another baby I bought just for this reason.  The baby is not wearing the same outfit but it is the same doll.  Sophia LOVED the new baby.  We found the original baby and she still prefers her.  

The Hulk Is Killing Me!

This folks is a daily battle at The Morton house.  I need a lock on the pantry!  Not a day goes by that I am not cleaning  a mess like this.  The shredded wheat happened less than an hour after Angelica left...  

Cousin Sleepover

The boys went over to Aunt Kelly's for a sleepover tonight.  We met her off the Tollway so they could head to Plano for Matthew's soccer game.  They got up Saturday morning and headed to Matthews baseball game.  

Easter

We met Nic, Carlie, mom, dad and Grannie at Hope Fellowship for church this morning.   Then we headed over to mom and dads for basta and an Easter egg hunt. 

Swedish Easter Dinner

Catarina and Frederick invited us over for dinner tonight.  They are from Sweden and so they had a traditional Easter Dinner for us.  The kids roasted their hot dogs on the grill.  They jumped on the trampoline and played ping pong.  

After the kids ate we sat down to our first course of pickled herring.  We were served beer to drink with this course.  After a few bites we were told of the tradition that you sing a song and have a shot of vodka.  The song was in Swedish but they put the English version of what it sounded like for us to sing.  (pictured below).  Frederick is in a barber shop quartet so his singing was awesome!  Next was the grilled shrimp and spicy Thai fish patties made of cod,  (pictured uncooked) served with rice, edamame and French wine.  

Then came dessert served with berries and a port wine.  THEN an after dinner drink of your choice.  Man, those Sweds can drink!  The kids were having a blast but Seth was beginning to get a little fussy since it was after 10:30 and we had stayed out until 11:00 the night before too.  We headed home and bathed the kids and got them in bed only to have to wake them up for church.  

It was so fun learning about their culture!

... and yes!  I choked down dinner with EVERY SINGLE bite!  I really hope the look on my face did not give away that I was about to VOMIT every time I took a bite.  I had to tell myself to swallow and I physically could not do it.  My throat SLAMMED shut every single time!  I seriously thought I was not going to make it.  I was even feeling nauseous after we got home.  I could not wait to brush my teeth!  I even got a little ill just having to relive that and type about it :)  

Fun Day

After school we played out front until 6:00.  Came in for some pizza and then headed over to The Runge's for s' mores.  The kids had a blast playing soccer in the greenbelt.

We stayed until 10:45 and while heading back inside I heard a "plop"   I looked in the pool and there was my BRAND NEW PHONE sinking down to the step.  I have never moved so fast... you would have thought it was one of the kids I was going to save! 

I ran in trying to get the case off, Nori got a bag of rice and I finally threw the phone at Eric because I couldn't get the case off.  He and Kim finally got it off and in the rice it went!  I left it in the rice over night and THANK GOODNESS it is OK!  

It was a big day for this momma... we let Jonah go to Urban Air with Greer from 9:00 to 11:00 PM.

Sophia's Easter Party

After lunch with Luke I headed back up to the school for Sophia's Easter party.  They got to hunt for eggs on the playground.  It started sprinkling on us as we were finishing up.  We then headed back to the classroom for some cookies.

Lunch With Loved Ones

After The Hulks party I ran a couple of errands then headed to eat lunch with Luke for Lunch With Loved Ones.  I always love that when he sees me he gives me a HUGE hug!  I picked him up some Taco Bell for lunch and he pretty much ignored me and talked (or listened) to Will the entire time.  

I asked him to make a "normal" face and he said, "that is normal for me".  Guess he is right!  I stuck around after to say hello to Jonah and he would not even make eye contact with me.  

Seth' s Easter Party

Seth had his Easter party this morning at school.  They started off making a craft, having a snack and then on to the egg hunt!

GNO Max's Wine Dive

Someone let these crazies out!  We headed to Max's Wine Dive on McKinney Avenue.  Amy was out of Frisco city limits and her comfort zone.   The food was great and so were the drinks and company of course!  We always have such a great time together.  I never really thought I was that short but guess I am when I am with these crazies!  I even have on wedges.
