Back To School Shoes
We went to Nordstrom with Meemaw to get new shoes. I like taking pics so the kids will be able to look back and see the shoe they HAD to have. I was impressed this time that nothing was all that crazy... except for Sophia's.
I was not planning on getting Seth or Sophia any new shoes but got them measured and Soph had gone up 2 sizes... opps. The Hulk walked over and found these Converse, put the display on and would NOT take it off! There was no way we were leaving without those!
The day I have been dreading has arrived! We had to hit the men's department for Jonah. The bigger the foot... The bigger the price tag! Thank goodness it's Half Yearly AND we get Meemaw ' s discount!
Of course daddy put in his request for some new running shoes too!
We left Nordstrom and headed to the Rack to find Jonah some Converse. It was a long 3 hours but worth the sale price and discount and NO crowds on tax free weekend! Thanks Meemaw!

Luke At Hawaiian Falls
Luke went to Hawaiian Falls with Tyler. Jenny came to pick him up and not 5 minutes after they left she sent me a text saying, "I don't think I have ever heard Luke talk this much". This was Luke's first time and he had a blast.
Never In My 39 Years!
I seriously do not think I have ever heard a thunder storm or seen a lightning storm like the one last night. It even woke Justin up! The entire house was shaking, even the bed. I think it was one continuous thunder that lasted two hours. The lightning never stopped flashing. Sophia is the only one who got out of bed.
Of course after it stopped Justin and I were wide awake and could not fall back to sleep. I got on my phone but had no Internet connection.
I would be LOVING all this rain in JULY but it's holding up the pool!

Shotcrete
They shot the concrete in today. Pretty cool how they do it. They did one section at a time and then smoothed it out and shaped it.

Plumbing In
The plumbing is done! The City Of Frisco came out and gave them a "pass"... next step, concrete!
This guy was heating up the PVC to bend it.
I am certain they could have been done a lot sooner if they would not have had a cigarette in their mouth the ENTIRE time they were working! Pretty sure there is an entire pack of cigarette butts being buried under the pool!

Pool Day Two
This morning the steal guys got here about 6:00. Thank goodness we never heard them! I looked out at 7:00 and they had done a ton!
Every time I would walk by and look out I would see this guy bending in half. It became a running joke with the kids and I. It makes my back hurt just seeing this! Sophia came down and said, "uhhhhh mom, why does he not have a shirt on"?
They came and put the plastic down since is it supposed to rain the rest of the week! Go figure, the week we start building IN JULY it rains all week!

Breaking Ground
We broke ground today on the pool! The crew got here at 8:00 and they work quick! They started off pulling down the big tree so we can put all the equipment there. Then they pulled the three crape myrtles out and moved them to the side of the house for us. Time to start digging the hole now!
We decided to rip out the back patio so all of the decking would match. He got so close to the house I was a nervous wreck!
... and then the rain came POURING down! It was not just raining, it was SIDEWAYS rain and then hail started coming down. The wind was blowing and blew the trees we had just replanted down. The guys sat in the truck and waited out the storm. When the rain stopped after about an hour the hole was FULL of water. When the rain stopped he cranked that machine back up and started getting the water out and continued to dig.
