Jonah and Lukes First Hunt Of The Season

The boys went hunting this morning with Pops, Jason and Matthew.   Ben was going to come but said  it was too early. They got one duck and had to cut the hunt short.  Justin got a work call and had to head home. 

Day Two Into Thanksgiving Break

Here it is Tuesday of Thanksgiving  week and all four kids have been fighting A L L morning!  After lunch I had had enough!  Seth was down  for a nap so I sent the two bigs to their room to read or draw. 

After a while I could not believe  that neither had come out to ask if they could come out of their room.  I went up to investigate and found this!   no wonder they were cranky pants... they must have been exhausted.

Sophia's Blow Dry

Just had to post.  Every night Justin blows Sophia's hair dry.  He does such a good job.  I can never get it this smooth!  Daddy never has fly aways!  

Duck Hunt With Jeff

Justin and Jeff had a pretty good hunt.   Came home with a Red Head, a Teal and  2 Gadwalls.

Night Out With The Bigs

Justin and I were going to go out on a date night.  At the last minute we decided to bring the bigs with us and let them have some fun.  They decided on Pei Wei for dinner and both got shrimp lomein.  

After dinner we headed to Main Even to bowl.  We were on a wait list so the boys played games.  

Time for a little bowling.  As we were sitting there waiting for Justin to bowl Jonah looked over and said, "this is the best night ever mom".  MY HEART MELTED!  We just do not do enough fun things with the bigs because of the littles.  We all had a great time.  

Sawyer And Marinn Skate Party

This was a busy weekend of cousin birthday parties!  We celebrated Sawyer, Marinn, Gavin and Matthews birthdays this weekend.  We started at the skating rink with Sawyer and Marinn.  We put skates on Sophia and Seth.  Seth stood up, fell and hit his back on the bench, he was DONE!  Off with the skates.  Sophia stood up and kept hers on for about 10 minutes and then she was done.  

Jonah and Luke were doing great.  They seemed bored so momma decided to show them that momma still had it!  I went and got me some skates.  I was surprised that I did not fall once!  My legs were hurting in places I never even knew were there.  HA

Noah put his skates on and was having a great time.  He did not even want Nic or Carlie to help him.  

Luke Positive Office Referral

You always get that pit in your stomach when you see the school calling... or at least I do.  My brain goes into overload.

It was Mrs. Treadwell the assistant principal and she had Luke in her office and he was getting a Positive Office Referral.  This is HUGE for Luke.  He has been having trouble staying focused this year and does NOT want to be at school, let alone do his work.  Yes, he told his teacher that he did not want to do it so he was not going to do it, he got a few zeros recorded.  

So, he has shown improvement and is kicking tail these past few weeks.  It is really amazing how him loosing his iPad and other privileges will make him turn that attitude around.

The Pool Is Done!

Folks... Hell has frozen over!  The pool is officially D O N E!  We seriously thought we would never see the day.  July 14th they broke ground and it was finally done November 17th!  

Snow

They said snow was coming... This is what we woke up to!  The boys were hoping for a snow day.  

Sophia Drawing

Sophia brought me this drawing and said, "look mommy, I drew Aunt Stefanie's kids".  I asked who was who and from left to right... Chloe, Dakota, Zane and Hunter.  Then the little one is a troll.   I asked her when Aunt Stef had a troll and she laughed. 

Justin Hunt In OK

Justin and Kev made a quick trip to OK to hunt with Brian.  They left Saturday at 5:00 and got home at 1:30 Sunday.  Only had time for one hunt and did not even shoot.  

Brian stepped in the water to get the decoys set up and had a hole in his waders.  Justin took over, walked in the water and his boot filled up with water... hole in his waders!  Then you have Kev...  they made him carry all the decoys back since he is the rookie!  

Windows

The windows in this house are all horrible.  They look horrible and they are not insulated. You can feel the air coming in during the winter and the heat beating in in the summer.  We finally broke down and did all the windows in the kitchen.  Of course one came in broken so we get to have a broken window for 4-6 weeks.  

Sophia

This morning when I was taking Sophia to school a mom stopped me in the hall and asked if I was Sophia's mom.  She told me she was Brayden's mom and that Brayden had the friend book from class last night.  She said that when Brayden got to her picture he told her that was Sophia and she is the prettiest girl in the class... made me smile.
