Poor Mimi

After we put the kids to bed Sunday night I came downstairs and saw I missed a couple of calls and had 5 texts.  When I saw they were from my dad my heart starting racing.  I didn't even look at the texts I just called him back. 

(It was strange because they had been over at my house and had only been gone a few hours).

Dad answers and asked if I got his message or texts.  He proceeds to tell me they are at the ER with mom and waiting to see if she had broke her hand or not. 

Dad was waxing the car and mom was out there with him and had Winston on his leash and was bent down brushing him.  Winston saw something and took off running.  Mom got to her feet but could not recover or catch up.  She pretty much ate the pavement!  Her hand was in the leash and she caught herself with that hand. 

Thankfully she doesn't have to have surgery and she's just a little banged up.  Poor Mimi!

Texas Pinball Festival

Papa took Jonah and Luke to the Texas Pinball Festival.   They had fun looking and playing all the old machines. 

My dad made me proud... he sent me a picture (one on bottom) of this GUY with long hair and he said he had a full beard too.  Thanks Papa, I know they had fun!

Cousin Fun

We headed over to play with cousins today.  When we first got there Seth would not leave my side for the first 20 minutes.  He finally went and started playing and kept coughing.  

We went home and later that afternoon Seth was running a low grade fever.   Sorry Aunt Carlie! ;(

I'm THAT Mom

Last night we had a fundraiser dinner for Team Runge in Addison.  I was meeting Justin there so I had the kids with me.  Traffic was horrible on the Tollway so I exited Frankford and was cutting over to Midway.  I told the kids that I used to live right down the street with Tara when I graduated from college and would show them where when we drove by. 

After I tell them that Luke says, "is this where we start talking now so mom doesn't have to"?  ouch! I am THAT mom... telling boring stories!  

Jonah's Field Trip

Jonah's class went to the symphony today.  They had to get "dressed up". 

Sophia and Seth Well Visit

Sophia had her 5 year well check and Seth his 3 year.  No shots this trip but Sophia got her finger pricked and she did not even cry.  She was so proud of herself!

The weight is low due to them both barfing their insides out for 3 days and not eating for 4 days the week before their visit.  

Seth's Stats:
Weight:  34 lbs 6 oz.

Sophia's Stats:
Weight: 39 lbs 8 oz.
Height:  44.25 in.

Spring Break

Not the best way to start off turning 3!  Seth woke up at 4:22 crying and when I went up there he was throwing up... IN HIS BED!  I get him cleaned up and take his mattress down to my room and then go clean up the mess.   We got him back to sleep and at 5:07 Sophia comes down crying that her tummy hurts and then SHE BARFS!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME you ask?  NO I now have two puking their lungs up within an hour of each other.  I was just waiting for the others to come down.  Thank goodness that did not happen.  

So all day Tuesday they were sick.  Poor Seth broke blood vessels in his face again from gagging so hard.   Thank goodness not as bad as last time.  I now have both of the kids on a mattress in my room to keep the  vomit on the hard surface floor.  

They continued to vomit  throughout the day and night and continued Wednesday AND Thursday.  I pretty much was the walking dead being up all night cleaning vomit, holding hair back, holding the trashcan and doing laundry so we could have clean sheets to put back on the bed.  They pretty much stayed in my room and watched TV all day for the week.  Sophia did not say a word ALL day and only got up when I carried her to the bathroom.  I kept them hydrated with water, they refused to drink Pedilyte, Pediasure or eat anything.  I may or may not have told Sophia that if she did not drink she would have to head to the hospital  and get a needle in her arm for an IV.  

They poor girls last meal was Monday night.  She did not take one bite of food until Friday morning at 11:00.  ONE BITE!  She then did not eat Friday and not really Saturday either.  

Thursday night around 6:00 was the last vomit.  It then started coming out the other end!  I am here to  tell you that this momma was on the verge of tears at this point!  They would NOT let me leave the room, if I did they would cry.  I am pretty sure I did not even see Jonah or Luke for the entire Spring Break.  They loved it because they got to play XBox ALL day everyday.  

By Saturday afternoon they were back to talking and moving around.  

I cannot tell a lie, I enjoyed the silence for those few days but sure did miss the noise.  So glad they are back to normal and eating me our of house and home!

Seth Turns THREE

The Hulk turned 3 today!  He cracks us up and keeps us busy!  We met The Minters, Sherry, Mimi and Papa at Three Stacks for dinner. 

The pictures are horrible but it's the best I could do!

40 WHAT?

Went to mom and dads today to celebrate Nic and I turning the big 40.  We also celebrated Sophia and Seths birthday too.  

The boys ate all the cool whip off the back of the cake!

Pump It Up

We decided to do another joint party for Sophia and Seth while we still can.  We did their party at Pump It Up.  They were SO excited they could hardly stand it... until friends started showing up.  They both shut down and were not having it.  

It was time to head into the first room to bounce and they spent the entire time on Nina's lap.  Their friends kept asking them to jump and NOTHING!  

Being the AWESOME mom that I am I took Seth screaming and crying up to the top, he had a death grip on me.  Mom said that he was smiling on the way down but when we hit the bottom he started to get upset again.  

It was time to move to the second room.  After about 10 minutes I noticed Seth was off of Meemaws lap.  I found him in the bounce house.  I snuck a couple of pictures and as soon as he saw me he started crying and said he was done and wanted out!  

Time to sing happy birthday.  I knew this was NOT going to go well so we decided to have them sit on Justin's lap while people sang happy birthday.  

After the party, Julie and the kids came over to play for a while and Ron and Nina too.  The kids had fun playing outside since it was so nice.  The girls were putting their feet on the waterfall in the pool and Justin asked Harper if her feet were cold, she looked at him and pointed to her shirt and said, "no, I have on long sleeves".  HA!

Even though the birthday boy and girl did not have fun at their own party at least all the others did!  

Snow Day

School CANCELLED... again! This makes the THIRD day in two weeks.  Of course it is a Thursday and all four are in school on Thursday.  We got 4 inches of snow during the night and the kids were so excited when they woke up.  

I have NEVER seen anything like this.  It was crazy snow, it was coming down and blowing everywhere.  Just looking out the window it was all white in the sky, like a mini blizzard.  The sun was out all day so it all melted by the end of the day.
