Busted!

As I walked in the bathroom in Sophia's room I see this!  Busted!   I know there is no way it could have been her because she cannot reach the candy in the top cabinet.

Jonah has been guilty in the past (a LOT) of hiding wrappers.  I went and questioned him very strategically and busted!  It was him.  I always ask why he doesn't just throw it in the garbage, that's when he gets in trouble!

Cousin Fun

Justin was finishing up the landscaping so the kids and I were in the pool.  Julie brought the kiddos over to swim, it has been way too long since we have seen them!

Sophia! She DID IT!

Two years ago Sophia took swim lessons.  Ever since she has never been confident enough to take off her floaties.  She has been working so hard and it FINALLY HAPPENED!  She took her floaties off, walked over to the side and without skipping a beat jumped off the side and swam to the steps!  WOOHOOOOOO Sophia!

She was only using her kickers and no arms.... until 2 days later she started using her arms!  She is now all over the pool.  Of course I am watching her more now than I did with her right by the steps.

The only bad part is that now Seth wants NO floats on.  Good grief, I might not make it to the end of summer.  I constantly do a head count and have my eyes on them.  I am a nervous wreck when the kids are in the water!

Potty Training Update

Today marks one week with no diapers for The Hulk!  He has done AWESOME!   He only had one accident and then a half of one.  He started to wet his pants and stopped it as he ran to the bathroom!
I don't even really ask him if he needs to go unless we are leaving to go somewhere.   He will come find me and tell me he went potty and needs help getting his pants back on.  He wakes up in the morning dry and he even took a nap with no diaper this week.

So proud of my big boy!

NO MORE DIAPERS!

So, seeing as how Seth is number four I was not going to rush and stress out on the potty training thing.  He has been sitting on the potty since he was 18 months old so I thought for sure it was going to happen early... I was WRONG!

I have asked him multiple  times if he wanted to wear underwear and he would tell me no.
Not today folks!  This afternoon I was changing his diaper and he told me he wanted underwear not a diaper.  I told him he had to pee in the potty.

We went upstairs and he walked out of the media room to Sophia's bathroom and said, "I don't need help, I can do it by myself ".  He couldn't get on the toilet so I helped him up and walked out.  A few seconds later he yelled he was going pee pee.  He was grinning ear to ear!

WOOHOO!!!  He went a couple of more times on his own and then he was standing in the living room telling me he WASN'T pooping as he was holding his butt.  I snatched him up, ran into the bathroom and he pooped in the potty!!!

We then went down the street for a lemonade stand and we were gone for a little over an hour. We headed home and he went into the bathroom and peed again!!!

Time for The Morton no more diaper party.

Luke's Green Belt

Luke had his green belt ceremony tonight.   We are so proud of his hard work and dedication.  After he received his belt they got their sparring gear.  Master Dallas showed them all how to get their gear on and what to get on first.

Urban Air

Sophia was over at Nori's and she called and said that the girls wanted to go jump at Urban Air.  I thought the kids would have fun so we waited until Jonah got home from school and headed out.  We called Blake so Jonah would have someone to jump with.

Sophia started crying when we got there and said she was scared.  Of what, I am not sure. So, she was not jumping and Seth had a hold of my leg with a death grip.  This was NOT looking good folks!

$77 later here we were!  I wanted to vomit when I signed the receipt.  I did not even pay for Blake because his dad met us up there to drop him off and paid for him.  We jumped for 2 hours or should I say we paid for 2 hours. Seth was having nothing to do with the trampoline.  I finally got him to get on one with me beside him until this #$%&* came up to me and said, "excuse me, you can't be on here without a wristband".  EXCUSE ME.  I just paid SEVENTY SEVEN dollars and you are telling me that I cannot stand here with my THREE year old???

I am pretty sure the big kids had fun but pretty sure the littles will not be back any time soon!  They were begging for frozen treats and drinks.  I told them NO and they were not happy.  I guess they forgot that we stopped at Sonic ON THE WAY TO URBAN AIR and had a slushy!  So, I spent an arm and a leg for them to pout.  See if I try and do something fun again... lesson learned!

Sophia and Lizzie

Poor Sophia... the girl has never really had a play date.  She plays with Mia all the time and she is 7.  She asked the other day if she could invite Lizzie over.  She and Lizzie were in class together a couple of years ago and really hit if off.  Come to find out she lives a street behind us.

It is so crazy because her mom (Kim) grew up in Carthage.  She knows Aunt Karen, Uncle Don and Julie, she grew up going to church with them.  Talk about a small world!  So I have NO idea why we have not done this sooner!  Lizzie came over at 10:00 and they immediately wanted to swim.  I was SO proud of Sophia for not once putting her floaties on!  She has been working on swimming on her own!  They swam their little hearts out.  I made them get out for lunch and told them we could get back in later.

We ate and they played some upstairs and then back in the pool.  They dove for torpedo's for 45 minutes.  Lizzie ended up staying until 5:00 and wanted to stay longer!  I think it was a successful play date.  I am hoping they get in the same kinder class!

Jonah Gets His Green Belt

Jonah moved up to his green belt at Tiger Rock.  Mom and dad are so proud of his hard work and dedication!  He also got his sparring gear!

National Day Of Sweden

Fredrick and Catarina invited us to celebrate the National Day of Sweden. We could not find a sitter so decided to let Jonah be in charge. We were just across the street and down 2 houses.  We put Seth and Sophia to bed, set the alarm and left.   Jonah did great!  So proud of him... and Luke, they did not even fight!

So color coordinated!  Wasn't even planned.

This is for Adonia!  Making sure she was going to make it to the party.

The party can start now, Lellie, Adonia and Amanda showed up.

Lellie, Nori, Adonia, Starr, Haley, me, Amanda and Aline.
