JONAH MORTON!!! I could...

Image
Let me set the scene...  we are in the last week of school, Justin is out of town and it is a little after TEN PM and I am in bed watching TV about to go to sleep.  Jonah walks in and says, "mom, I forgot I need to take a couple of things to school tomorrow and handed me a list.  Should not be hard... right? WRONG!   The list is below: Pre cut 1/2 inch diameter foam pipe 30 cm long Duct tape 3 12cm strips of duct tape string 90cm 3 rubber bands small binder clip index card 7.5 cm by 12.5cm BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS THIS STUFF ON HAND!!!  I start digging through drawers and getting stuff that I MIGHT have laying around, string, index card (which I made Jonah measure and cut because we did not have one), rubber bands and small binder clip.  I figure if he had half the supplies it was better than none.   because I am an AWESOME MOM (maybe when he reads this when he is older he will see just how awesome I really am) he should be grateful be...

Field Day

Image
Thank goodness the rain stopped so the kids could have field day today!  It was overcast and a nice breeze and about 90% humidity.   Y'all did not think that I could go up to the school and Sophia NOT cry did you???  She was fine until she saw me and then she cried and said she was cold!

Vocabulary Parade

Image
The kids had their vocabulary parade today and of course it was raining so they had to do it in the halls instead of outside.  Sophia picked rainy and Luke solor energy.

Luke Turns 11!

Image
Today Luke turned 11!  We had birthday donuts for him when he woke up and he could not really open his eyes it was so bright.  Luke requested hamburgers and nachos (ballpark style) for his birthday lunch.  He also wanted a chocolate cake, with chocolate icing and chocolate on top!  It actually stopped raining for a day so we could swim.   The cake... I had to dress it up a little with the berries... Lukies favorite! Luke had a small wish list this year but of course the older they get the more expensive the gifts are.  He got his phone, which is a used one but he has to prove he is responsible enough before he gets a new one.   Luke is a shoe obsessed child, he cleans his black tennis shoes with baby wipes to keep them clean... WHY did I buy this child WHITE shoes???

Butterfly Exhibit

Image
Seth and I went to Willow Bend Mall to see the butterfly exhibit.  Not sure he was very impressed but he had fun with friends.   Seth and Ashlyn

Tiger Rock Customer Appreciation Event

Image
Tiger Rock had their annual appreciation event, there was rock climbing, snow cones, petting zoo, face  painting,  dunk tank, bounce houses and pizza and sodas by the gallon.  Jonah did the rock wall and dunked Master Dallas 5 times out of 10.   We stood in line for over an hour to get Sophias face painted... I was glad she did her whole face and not just her eye! Sophia and Molly

These Crazies

Image
Carlie fell down the stairs and hurt her foot so she is in a boot and cannot walk.  Seth and I went over to try and help with the kiddos since she could not go upstairs.  They were super excited to get a sucker.

5th Grade Wax Museum

Image
The 5th grade had their wax museum this month, it started off with research, then a rough draft/final copy of the paper then a poster and a speech.  Luke was Ralph H. Baer, the father of video games.
