More Meatballs!

Seth and I made basta and meatballs.  While I was having a panic attack with the way he was getting the paste out of the can he was having a blast "cooking" with me.  It did take a little... ok, a lot longer to get the dinner going but hopfully he will rememeber this forever!  

We got the sauce going so now time for the meatballs!  Seth did an awesome job making the meatballs and they tasted even better!

Happy 5th Birthday Noah!  Carlie did an awesome job decorating the fire station for Noah's party.

Frisco Star Football

Let me just say... these kids do not know HOW GOOD THEY HAVE IT!  They high school football teams get to play in the BRAND NEW FRISCO STAR! This is the practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys and let me just say that it is insane!  We got tickets for the 5:30 and 7:30 game and of course Frisco High did not start until 8:50.  

We got there and of course started off with some nachos and the kids got a soda.  We find some seats and once the nachos and half their soda was gone the "when are we leavings" started!  THIS right here folks is why I hate taking the kids to things like this... we spend a fortune and all they care about is the food and drinks and then they are ready to go.  

The boys were sitting with us and we kept telling them to go and find their friends... THEY WERE THERE!  Jonah said he was fine and then looked to his right and saw 4 rows of all his friends/classmates sitting there all together having a blast.  They all kept calling his name so he FINALLY got up and went over.  Needless to say, we did not see him again until he needed money of course :) 

I mean, SERIOUSLY!  All the schools have a  blow up tunnel for the players to run out of, what happened to the paper banner that the cheerleaders painted and the players broke through?

Within minutes of Jonah moving with his friends he started having a blast!  He even got on the jumbo tron a couple of times.  (the one in red shorts)

The other three were DONE!  Luke never would go down and join his friends.  It was now 10:00 and it was only half time so we left Jonah and took the others home.  Justin was going to go back and pick him up after the game.  Jonah then texts Justin this picture.  It is one of the guys from Dude Perfect.  Now, to teach Jonah how to be sure his lens on the camera is wiped BEFORE he takes a picture.  HA!  He told us he had fun and was glad he went over there instead of sitting with 

New Water Heaters!

It was time folks... the water downstairs in the master had not been getting hot or if it did it would only last a minute or two.  We knew it was coming since the tanks were 14 years old so we went ahead and bit the bullet!  Now the water is hotter than...

First Day of School 2016-2017

The day started extra early for Jonah this morning.  Up at 5:40 so he can leave by 6:15 to get to football practice.  

Next one out the door is Sophia at 7:10.  She is ready for 1st grade!  We were meeting at the gazebo for the annual first day of school picture.

Luke is the last one out at 7:45 to catch the bus.  He is off to middle school!

All three kids said they had a good day.  Luke had a little trouble with his locker but got it open.  Now... Let the homework begin!

Jonah 7th Grade Schedule Pick Up

Jonah went to pick up his schedule tonight and Shelly offered to take him so I did not have to take all the crazies, I am sure Jonah appreciated that!  :)  I cannot believe how big they are getting!  Jonah got a bottom locker this year so he was not very happy so he called up to school to see if he could get a top one, they told him he had to get a doctors note.

Husky Camp For Luke

The smell of pencils being sharpened is in the air folks!  Luke went to Husky Camp today and picked up his schedule and got to meet his teachers and get his locker.  When Luke got his schedule I immediately took a picture of it and good thing I did because in true Luke fashion he LOST it within 15 minutes!  It literally VANISHED into thin air people!  We were sitting the entire time... HOW does this happen???

Luke told me that he had a good time and has some friends in his classes.  He said that he sat in his Science class and Coach Minyard did a scan of the room and pointed to him and said, "you look like someone".  Luke told him that Jonah was his brother... not sure if that is a good or bad thing!  LOL
