End Of Year Party

The littles had their end of the year party today.  It was an outside party at 1:15 and it was miserable, it was SO HOT.  Seth of course did not want any pictures so I took them without him knowing!

Running faucet Disaster

The faucet in the master tub was running and would not turn off.  Justin removed the handle and thats when it all went to hell.  I was putting Seth to bed and heard Justin's blood curdling scream "ALISON" I knew it was bad... he NEVER calls me Alison!  I run downstairs and Jonah has beat me down and is helping out.  He had a washcloth over the handle "putting pressure on it" while Justin was going to run and shut the water off.  After a minute or so the water was HOT and burned Jonah's hand  so he moved his hand and that is when it all happened so fast... water was SHOOTING up to the ceiling and steam and water going everywhere!  I grab a towel and start trying to apply pressure but it is so damn hot I was burning my hands.  Water was going everywhere and now my bare feet were in standing HOT water.  I turn around and water has now gone to the toilet, closet and the bedroom.  Jonah just started throwing towels wherever he saw water. 

Justin got the water shut off and the water kept coming... out of the 40 gallon water tank in the attic!  he had to go up and turn that off too. 

He went to Lowes and got a part to fix the faucet and replace it, turned the water back on and the water was now coming out of the faucet into the tub and would not shut off even though it was turned in the off position.  By this time it was almost 10:00 so we just shut off the water and would continue in the morning. 

The next morning Justin went to Lowes again and watched a video... apparently there was a spring that shot off with the water and we did not see that until we looked for it.  He got it fixed and all is well.  Jonah did apologize for the ceiling though.  HELLOOOOO I am sorry you burned your hand who cares about the ceiling!  I ended up doing 5 loads of towels after this disaster. 

Darlington Ranch

Jeff and Shelly invited us out to the Ranch.  We loaded up and ended up taking both trucks since we had 3 bows, a cooler, Remington and the kennel.  The kids had fun jumping on the trampoline with the water hose under it.  Seth and Sophia learned to do a front flip almost landing on their feet.  They played water balloon and of course Seth got hit in the face by Jonah and so he was done. 

We caught fire flies and then made s'mores.  It was hotter than... but we survived. 

The next morning we headed out to fish and do a little shooting at the range.  Seth caught a tilapia and was so excited!  The kids went out on the Polaris with Paige.  We headed out about 3:00 and were home by 3:45 with some tired kiddos!

Archery Fun

Took the kids to the indoor archery range so they could shoot.  Seth was nervous at first but had a blast and could not stop asking if we could go back.  They all did great!

Mothers Day Weekend

We went to Union Bear with Meemaw and Pops to celebrate Mothers Day.

Sunday morning we went to see Grannie at her new place.  The kids enjoyed playing the Wii, corn hole and pool.  We then headed to mom and dads for lunch.

Sophia's Economic Fair Project

Sophia had to make 25-30 items for her economics fair project.  She wanted to make stress balls...  she helped with the first one and pulled it off the bottle and flour went everywhere!  We decided that Justin and I would make the rest after she kept dropping them.  I think our fingers were bleeding after 25 of these things.  We made our balls 3-4 balloons thick unlike the others who made them.  

Ready to sell, she sold out fast and said she was bored!

Her goodies she brought home.  Notice 4 stress balls, one was filled with rice, one with ooblec, one with Orbeez and not sure about the other.  3 of them broke with in the first hour being home.  

Maggie's Unicorn Sleepover

Jacque out did herself with this sleepover!  She got all the girls matching jammies with their initials and a stuffed unicorn.  I hung out for a while with Jacque helping out until all the girls went upstairs to watch a movie.  The girls had a blast!

Book Fair

Sophia and Seth had their book fair at school so I went to lunch with them and then headed to the book fair.  Justin went with them to Donuts With Dad earlier and they also got to get a book then too.  

Spring Pictures

Seth and Sophia had their spring pictures taken at school.  I was SO proud of Seth for getting up there and sitting for his picture!  He told me that morning that he was NOT going to smile!  

P!NK Beautiful Trauma Tour

Haley and I went to the P!nk concert and it was AMAZING!  I LOVE P!nk and she put on an awesome show!  In one of her last songs she flew RIGHT over our heads about 2 feet.  I cannot wait for her next show.
