Star Students

Both kids came home today and are both Star Student.  This means they fill out a poster and bring home these nasty disgusting germ infested I mean cute little animals and get to take them EVERY where they go and take pictures with them and put them in the journal and write about what they did all week with them.  I love that the kids get SO excited about this but all I can think of is how many germs and how nasty the animals are.  Every week they go home with a student and go all places with those kids.  How do I know?  The pictures in the journal show everywhere they have been.  I have a pit in my stomach as I type.  :)

Sophia had a Christmas Family Tradition assignment so did it on the Wylie Christmas Stockings.  Mrs.  Hobbie the librarian likes to decorate the library with holiday decor so the kids made a snowman from recycled goods to display.  

Soccer Time

Today after school we headed up to get Seth's ID card for soccer.  He has been so excited and cannot wait to start!

Another Hunt

The boys got up at 4:00 to go hunt and Seth was so excited to go again... until they were about to walk out the door.  He teared up and said that he did not want to go because he would miss me too much.  I told him I would be here when he got home but he just wanted to take his boots off and stay with momma!  It was Noah's first hunt and that did not even change Seth's mind.  

Tech Baylor Game

Yar had tickets to the Tech Baylor game so invited Justin to go.  Baylor won 35-24

Noah and Claire Sleepover

I have to mentally prepare myself for when Noah and Claire come to spend the night.  Seth and Sophia are early birds and just want to sleep when they are ready for bed.  Claire never falls asleep before 11:30 and Sophia tries to hang until 9:30 or 10:00 but then the tears start because she just wants to go to sleep and Claire does not.  

 After I crawled in bed Claire came down and crawled in bed with me telling me that she missed mommy.  I put the air mattress down and let her sleep in my room.  She FINALLY fell asleep at 11:45.  Aunt Alison was about to start crying she was so tired.  

Thanksgiving

This year Stef came in town for Thanksgiving.  We went to mom and dads and we all took a side.  

After dinner we all loaded up and headed over to see Grannie.  I think she knew who we were but not for sure.  She sure lit up when she saw all of us coming!  We wanted to bring her to mom and dads but she just gets so confused when we take her out and tells us she does not want to leave.  

Remington Turns 3

Happy Birthday Remington!  I guess now that we finally leave you out when we leave you help yourself to the closet to sleep and you are NOT suppose to be in there!  

Fall Break Skating

Maggie invited Sophia and Brielle to go skating so we took Rex along so Seth could have a friend.  

Lunch With Loved Ones/ Bookfair

Now that Mimi is retired she got to come to Lunch With Loved Ones today.  The kids were so excited to see her.  We sat with them while they ate lunch then off to the bookfair to buy books.  

Morton Family Dinner

Justin went to Lubbock for the football game and I took the kids phones away.  They played cards and actually had fun doing it!  Uncle Brian and Andy were in town so I took the kids to meet the family for lunch at Uncle Julios  they had fun with cousins!

Sophia always has a hard time when daddy is out of town.  She has a hard time sleeping so she came down to my room and listened to John Denver.  

Cameron Kids Birthday

Julie had all the kids parties at the same time and same place this year!  BEST idea EVER!  The kids all had a blast and even Uncle Nic joined in on the ninja course!

Seth's First Hunting Trip

Seth was BEYOND excited when he found out that he was going to get to go hunt with daddy and the big boys!  They woke up at 4:00 so they could get to Honey Grove by shooting time.  They did not get any birds but made some great memories!
