Poor Suburban

I was headed to get my haircut and a car pulled out in front of me to turn and I could not stop in time so his car stopped me.  Insurance was a nightmare, they did not call me back for 3 days.  When they finally called they told me that they were not liable because the driver was working for Uber at the time (had a passenger) so I had to wait to hear from them.  That took 2 more days.  I ended up 9 days without a car and finally Friday at 2:00 got to drop my car off at Service King and pick up a rental.  They will only pay so much a day so in order to get a car that seats 6 we had to pay out of pocket to get a Suburban.  The kids are in heaven, it is a 2019 with all the bells and whistles.  I told them they better not get use to it :)  Of course we were going into a three day weekend when we dropped the car at Service King.  I called Tuesday and they were estimating $5900 and some change.
They did tell me that insurance was going to pay for the alignment so that is good!

Moms Night Out

Nori planned a staycation at The Star here in Frisco.  A few of the ladies spent the day at the pool and then stayed at the hotel.  I only came for dinner, Stacey, Stacie and I met them at MiCocina for dinner and then we headed to the hotel to hang out and celebrate some of the girls birthdays.

First Day Of School

This morning came real early!  I think the kids were excited and a little nervous for the first day.  We did the annual walk to school the first day, it was SO HOT and humid I was dripping sweat.

The annual Heritage Green first day of school pic at the gazebo.

After I got the littles off it was Jonah and Luke's turn.  I cannot even believe we have two in high school.  I was going to drive them to school and then saw their buddies at the bus stop so they decided to take the bus.  They were all THRILLED that I took a picture :)  I told them they were lucky they were the only ones there.  I know Nori, Ashley and Shelly were glad I took the pic.

Archery Range With Mimi And Papa

Mimi called me and said that Seth had been texting her and dad :)  Papa did not respond so he started texting Mimi and even left her a recorded message text.  LOL  I guess he wanted to go to the archery range and shoot... his wish was granted.  Mimi and Papa came and picked him up and took him for one last fun day before school starts.  Then wanted to shoot more when he got home!

Meet The Teacher & One Last Hoorah!

Tonight was meet the teacher and after Sophia had some friends come swim, eat pizza and the girls spent the night.  Noah came over to spend the night with Seth but somehow ended up not getting a picture of them.
Sophia is in 4th grade with Mrs. Schaivo and Mrs. Campbell.  Brielle and Brandon are in Sophia's class this year.  Seth is in 2nd with Mrs. Becker and has Landon in class again this year.

Sophia is always changing out her sign board and she asked if we could make it say this!  It did say, "school sucks" so I was glad she wanted to change it :)  She wanted it to say this since everyone coming over after meet the teacher were from Mrs. Lowrey's kinder class. When all the kids got here she told them there was a sign up sheet upstairs for them to sign.

Dakota Sworn In Army

Today Dakota was sworn into the Army.  He is going in to the Military Police training and we are so proud of him!  There is a Facebook page that they post pictures on so we can see what he is up to.  The kids and I are writing him letters while in basic training.  They are not allowed any books so he is asking for a ton of letters and even song lyrics.  I am trying to write once a week and when I cannot I print out song lyrics for him and send those.
