New Years Eve

Ronnie and Causby came to visit.  Sophia was so excited she could hardly stand it.  Sophia and I went and got them matching jammies to keep up the tradition.  They came down and had done their make up :)  They prepared the french toast for New Years Day breakfast.

Luke rang in the new year at Landons, Jonah stayed home, Seth sacked out about 11:30 and Justin fell asleep before midnight.  The girls were staying up to have their sparkling grape juice at midnight.  They made it!  I crawled in bed shortly after midnight and as I closed my eyes, the fireworks started going off.  Glad they did not last long.

Fingers crossed 2021 is not as messed up as this CRAZY year has been!  We are SO over masks and COVID.

Big Day For Luke

I had to take Luke to the bank so I could get put back on his account, somehow I was removed when Prosperity took over Legacy Bank.  I could not be put back on it unless he was with me to sign some papers... SERIOUSLY people, can you NOT see that the account is 15 years old and he is a minor?  So, after we got me put back on the account we decided to go ahead and get him a debit card while we were there so we do not have to go back when he turns 16.  Luke also pumped his first tank of gas!  The first of many, many more to come!

Christmas Day

Luke was the first one up and downstairs this morning and Seth about 4 min. behind him.  It was 7:45 so I went up and woke Jonah and Sophia up to come see if Santa came!  Jonah got his monitor for his gaming PC, Sophia got her air track for tumbling, Luke got the guitar he wanted along with an amp and Seth got a Nintendo Switch.  All the kids were happy with Santa.

Meemaw and Pops came over for breakfast, we had the french toast Sophia made last night and ham and egg cups.  After they left we got ready to head over to Mimi and Papa's for lunch.  Judy was bringing Aunt Jo by for another drive by.  Mom went earlier that morning to see Grannie, she was sleeping so they woke her up and mom said she wasn't sure if she really knew who she was.

We ate pork tenderloin, glazed carrots, a veggie salad that Carlie brought and I brought  asparagus bundles.

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve was a little different this year.  The Frisco Raccoons made it to the playoffs and due to COVID we played on Christmas Eve at 7:30.  They got to play at The Star so that was nice and close to home.  We knew it was going to be a late night so Sophia and I prepared our Christmas morning breakfast before we left for the game.  She helped make the make ahead french toast and whip cream.

So proud of the Frisco Raccoons!  We could not pull of the WIN but they played great.  Jonah was not able to play but we were there supporting him and the rest of the team.  Meemaw and Pops came to the game and Luke saw Landon and Conner.  We also saw Coach Davis!  After the game we saw Brielle and Nicolette out front.  They were there cheering for their cousin who plays for Aledo.

Sophia Living Her Best Life

Sophia's social calendar is jam packed!  She is NEVER not doing something.  She had a fun Christmas Tree Decorating Party at Harpers and celebrated Madelyn's birthday at Top Golf.

Early Christmas For Luke

Found a surprise for Luke at the front door this afternoon.  What an awesome surprise it is!  This guitar was Ron Morton Sr. and then Justin's.  Justin had this when we were in Lubbock at Texas Tech.  It was 'lost' and made it's way back to us!  Luke was so excited and said he had even looked at one of these when looking at guitars he wanted.  Can't wait to hear him play!

Dads Birthday

Went to mom and dads to celebrate dads birthday!  The BIG 70!  Not sure how we did not get a pic with him...  We watched to Chiefs pull off another win and enjoyed a wonderful pot of Papa's chicken soup and fried tators!  We went ahead and took the kids Christmas jammie pic since we will be watching the Frisco Raccoons play football Christmas Eve.

Sophia's Annual Christmas Party, RACCOON WIN, Volleyball Game

It is that time of year for Sophia's Annual Christmas Party.  She decided that she wanted shirts again this year and wanted a gnome theme for the party.  It was so last minute I did not even get invitations out this year, I printed one up and sent a text.  This year we did another scavenger hunt.  The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast.  After the scavenger hunt they came in for the hot cocoa bar.  They then had a dance competition.  After the party Sophia had a 8:30 volleyball game so Elyse and Maggie stayed here and I took them all to the game.  WE WON A GAME!!!  WOOHOO, first game to win and Sophia served the winning point!

The Frisco Raccoons beat South Oak Cliff 19-17.  Chase Lowery had a 71 yard kickoff return gets Frisco to the 15 yard line with six left!  Now we play Aledo on Christmas Eve 7:30 at The Ford Center aka The Star!
