COVID HIT THE MORTONS
COVID has hit The Morton house! Tuesday night I took Seth to soccer practice and the wind was crazy as usual out there. I thought I inhaled a bug or grass because I got a little tickle in my throat half way through practice. I came home and everything was fine until I woke up at 3:00 am and knew I had a fever. I was freezing and not feeling well. Idid not get up right away but a couple of hours later got up to take something. I got a headache and could not even watch TV or look at my phone. I stayed in the bedroom and the kids would bring me toast and water and leave it at the door.
On the 3rd day I lost my smell and taste... I knew it was COVID. Justin slept on the couch and 3 days later he felt like he was hit by a truck. He took a test and it was negative. Not sure how, he was worse off than I was. I was SO tired and was SUPER excited that I MIGHT actually get to sleep now... NOT SO MUCH! I was so tired I could not even sleep.
Justin has now moved back in the bedroom and we were sick together. Justin took another test and it was still negative. I was good to go after about 10 days. I still got winded easily even just going to the bathroom.
Remington laid on the floor next to me for the days I was in bed. He knew momma was down for the count. Seth and Sophia would bring me food and one of them brought me nuggets and a special note in mustard.
To make things really fun, Sophia's water in her tub would NOT stop. It started a slow drip in the off position and then it was on full blast hot water. We could not call anyone out since we were both positive so we got the key and would shut the water off at the curb every night after everyone showered and then every morning when we woke up, we would shower and then turn if off again.
