New Years Eve

Sophia did not have her annual Christmas party this year, we got out of school 2 days before Christmas this year and it threw everything off.  She asked if she could do a NYE party.  We were not sure it was going to happen with Seth and Justin being sick this week but were able to pull it off within 24 hours.  We went to Walmart earlier in the week just in case and grabbed some balloons and a tinsel door decor.  Three hours before the party the #0 was deflated so I was putting more air into it and it popped.  Sophia and Jonah ran back to Walmart to get another balloon.  Madelyn brought over some appetizers and Brielle brought some brownies.  The girls had fun in the Fagans bounce house, lol.  

I did not think I was going to make it until midnight so I asked the girls if I could get a pic before I went to bed... well I of course was wide awake saw it was 11:58 so I ran up to get pics of the girls ringing in the new year.  Sophia and I made poppers to ring in the new year.  We did them inside so it would be an easy clean up.   

Hudson came over to hang with Seth for a couple of hours but fell asleep at 10:30, when the girls walked in the woke him up so we took him home.  They did not want a pic so we did not get one. 

Midnight struck and after the poppers I got the vacuum out so they confetti would not be all over the house and the girls were sleeping in the game room so it was a mess.  I finally crawled in bed about 1:00 and then 1:15 I heard Sophia's shower come on then off, then on and off and repeat multiple times... all five girls showered.  I ended up falling asleep around 3:00.  

Sickness Strikes

 Justin went to the Dallas house to meet the plumber and do some work.  I took Sophia and Seth down to see the house and they had fun "picking out" their rooms.  Seth, Sophia and I left to come home and within 30 min. of us being home Sophia went to Seths room and said he was staring at the wall.  I went up and he said he did not feel good, he had a headache, he fell asleep for an hour and still woke up not feeling great.  An hour later Justin walks in and he said he was not feeling good.  

Fast forward and Seth starts running fever and feeling nauseous.  Justin was freezing but sweating and then started to cough.  Mom was in Choctaw with Charlotte and Vicki and was fine until she got home this evening.  She then was freezing and running fever.  Dad and Nic were in Kansas hunting and dad started feeling bad.  Noah was not able to go hunt because he was running fever.  

Looks like another Sherpy Super spreader over Christmas.  By Wednesday night Justin and Seth were fever free but still kind of crudy.  They started moving around more on Thursday and Friday.  Friday Seth woke up to his calves very sore and could hardly walk.  Let's hope momma is not next. 

Christmas Morning

The kids started coming down around 8:00 so we started opening gifts.  Meemaw and Pops came over for breakfast before they headed to Jason and Michelle's.  We had our traditional overnight french toast with ham and egg cups.  

Jonah got a workout belt, gym bag, some Nike Blazers, some snow/rain boots to trek across Tech campus in, some other small things.

Luke got a car stereo, gym bag, workout belt, beanie and some food gift cards.

Sophia got some AirPods, Lululemon sweatshirt and shorts, some crewneck sweatshirts, some Ugg slippers a mini fridge for cosmetics, a Stanley cup, some LED lights and some make-up and nails.  

Seth got some AirPods, a basketball return, some soccer goals, football gloves, some cowboy boots and LED lights.  

We headed to Mimi and Papa's around 3:00.  Julie, Ranick and Uncle Don got to come too.  We had a great time with them, they are usually traveling for Christmas.  Papa made sugu and meatballs and that was a big hit.  

Christmas Eve

Spent Christmas Eve at Mimi and Papa's.  We headed over to watch the Chiefs but could not get it on the TV.  Papa made chicken soup and fried tators.  Claire Bear was not feeling well and running a small fever.  Luke was at work "stacking the paper" as he puts it.  He is working at I Fratelli Pizzaria.  He had asked me if we had any plans over the break and I told him no... not thinking he would be working on Christmas Eve.  We missed him.  

Thank You Mimi and Papa

Justin was in Florida for work so I asked Papa to come help do some honey do's.  I got a U shaped curtain rod for the boys shower and hoping this helps keep the  water IN THE SHOWER.  I have been wanting to paint this piece that is in my bathroom so I was in the paint aisle at Target and asked Papa if spray paint would work.  He told me he had paint so he would bring it when he came to install the shower rod.  Mimi was cutting a spraying a tree for me.  

Hunt With Jason and Ronbo

The arctic blast blew in so you know what that means... these crazies are loading up and heading out!  Jason, Ronbo and Justin headed out to Ladonia for the front that blew in.  9 degrees and felt like negative 8.  The heat in the house runs but does not heat... I sent Justin with a sleeping bag and they all slept in the living room on the couch in their sleeping bags.  Remington kept uncle Jason warm.
