Sophia 12th Birthday Party

We were going to take the girls out to dinner but getting the Jeep made that not happen... Sophia decided on Chick Fil A nugget tray and mac n cheese.  The girls got here and they ate and did cake and then did whatever they do!  Sophia wanted clothes this year so that is what she got!   

Rainbow Prep

 Sophia picked boho theme for her birthday party theme.  I of course have to find something that Sophia LOVED and had to make that happen with help from Mimi and Papa of course!  I went and bought pool noodles and Mimi and I went to Hobby Lobby looking for yarn to get started.  We get all the stuff together and Papa of course has the best idea to try and make it stable and got to helping too.  Pretty sure it would not have turned out had they not taken over!  

Jonah Texas Tech Visit

Justin and Jonah headed to Lubbock for a Texas Tech Tour.  They went to Spanky's for some lunch before the basketball game.  Such a fun game with a Red Raider WIN and a Patrick Mahomes sighting!  Jonah came home and said that he liked  it but no decision just yet, he has an Arkansas visit coming up in a few weeks.  

 

Seth Braces Off

Seth Valentine Bucket

Seth wanted to do basketball as his theme for his Valentine bucket.  I was stealing the idea from Lanita and asked what she used for Alaina's bucket.  She told me it was a Tide Pod bucket.  She told me she was going to send me Alaina's and not to make one!  She sent it and changed the name and number on it and it is perfect.  We put stress balls and chocolates for his Valentines to pass out.  

Valentines Day, New Jeep

The kids Valentine..  Justin and I do NOT celebrated Valentines Day, we love each other every day, vomit!  Justin gets Sophia flowers so she knows what to expect in the future :)  

After the weekend and thinking about it we decided to get the Jeep!  The Suburban was good to us for over 12 years.  So many memories in that car.  The kids say they will not miss it but I know they will.  The kids wanted to go with us to pick it up so off we went.  They enjoyed the coffee and snack bar while we finished up the paperwork.  Let the new memories begin!

 

Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and A Jeep

Today we had a full day.  Started off the morning at basketball then headed to soccer.  It was FREEZING.  I had on two coats and 4 blankets, a hat and a hood, the wind was insane and no sun.  I had a couple of extra beanies that I gave to the boys on the field.  We could not even see Seth's face, he had a neck gator and beanie.  

Justin found a Jeep that he wanted to go look at so we headed to Lewisville to check it out.  After waiting for them to bring it around to see it they finally came out and took us back to the shop because the battery had died so they were charging it and making sure it was only the battery.  We looked at it inside and out and it was pretty nice.  We finally got to take it for a test drive... it was awesome and took me back to my high school days!  Justin took a turn and he loved it too.  

We ended up putting a deposit on it to "hold" it so we could think about it and get to Sophia's final volleyball game of the season.  They won second place!  

We came home and did the pros and cons on the Jeep and me going back and forth if it was dumb or not.  Do I get a bigger car now that Jonah and Luke are driving or go small?  Our original plan was to get a Jeep and I would drive it for a few years and then give it to Sophia since that is her dream car... Sorry sister, momma isn't sharing this... you will have to get your own :)  Besides, she will not need a car that nice.

Remington Gotcha Day & Cousin Fun

Today it Gotcha Day for Remington!  Six years.  We love Remington Mahomes so much, he is THE BEST DOG!  

Sophia, Seth and I went to run some errands and when we met up with The Sherpys to drop something off of course we had to have some cousin fun!  On our way home I told the kids we were going to do something F U N... we were going to go on a scavenger hunt and they had to go in a random place and get a pic with an employee.  We pulled up to Jersey Mike's and I told them to get out and go get a pic.  Noah and Claire thought that Aunt Al had lost her mind!  When they walked in Jonah was in the back and Sophia said the other guys were just staring at them lol.  Jonah finally came out and Noah and Claire saw him.  We then went to Starbucks for a treat.  It was a beautiful day so the kids went outside to ride in the cars and the motorcycles.

Today Sophia made her birthday party jammie shirts, she said it was very satisfying and fun.  Seth and Sophia made dinner, taco soup.
