Senior Mom Dinner With Our Boys

These boys right here... and their mommas.  They have helped me get through this SENIOR year.  Love that they go out to eat Friday nights and mommas decided to go with them one night to their favorite place, The Pizza Guy in Dallas.  First I had the brilliant idea of meeting up at the school (they usually all meet up at Hunt and then drive down following each other) but I wanted to recreate a pic of these boys from their Freshman orientation pic.

After we got the pic we all loaded up and headed down to Pizza Guy together.  We had a fun time and loved being with our boys.

Jonah Graduation Party

For Jonah's graduation party he asked Justin to smoke a brisket and sausage.  Less than two weeks before the party Justin asked me to go out and get a new couch.  I HATE FURNITURE SHOPPING!  I recruited mom to go with me and we found one at Weirs.  I sent him some pictures of a couple and he liked them both so he met us there and we bought them.  They had them in stock and could deliver two days before the party!  Mom and I got busy trying to get new pillows for the couch and some new accessories.  With just a few new little things some spray paint, Papa painting a piece of furniture it and moving the formal living room coffee table in made a huge difference.

Sophia was excited to make the fruit tray and chocolate board.  Jonah wanted pasta salad, Meemaws deviled eggs, mac n cheese and some beans.  All the boys loved the BBQ and Justin didn't even get to try any.  So grateful that all his friends could help celebrate.

Volleyball Tournament

Since this weekend was not busy enough... we threw in a volleyball tournament!  First game 8:00 Saturday morning, we won so had to be back at 12:00.  We stopped on our way home between games to get all the groceries for Jonah's party on Sunday.  We got home, ate lunch and put the food away and headed back to the the courts (23 min. away)  We won the 12:00 game so back at 4:00.  Drove home and back again at 4:00.  If we won the 4:00 we would play at 5:00. We did not win the 4:00.  the girls were very disappointed.

Last Day Of School

Last Day of 4th. 6th and 11th grade... and Senior Year.  Jonah pretty much took off the last week of school.  Grades had been turned in and they were doing nothing.

Jonah just could not get through 13 years of school with a clean record... less than 3 weeks left of school and I get a text from him telling me he got ISS and would talk to me later when he got home.  Well, the principal called before he got home.  He and Josh were messing around pushing each other and Josh asked him what was in the bag... you guessed it.  The one word I tell my children to NEVER EVER EVER EVER say, well... he said it!  B&%b,  ARE YOU KIDDING ME SON!!!  Good news is that Mr. Barentine was not pressing charges.  He did get 2 days ISS and 3 days OSS.  I told him that he is now 18 and I could not have done a thing about it.  I hope he learned his lesson.

Sophia was a little upset that we did not have our annual last day of school party but momma just could not make it happen this year with graduation, so thankful that Keira had the girls over for a swim party.  Poor Seth was bored to tears but momma was getting ready for Jonah's party since we had a volleyball tournament all day Sat.

Jonah Graduation

Tonight Jonah graduated!  The ceremony was up at The Star.  It was nice and quick and oh SO HOT and very windy!  So odd, they did not call the names in alphabetical order but how you arrived.  Dominic, Carlie and the kids, Mimi, Papa, Meemaw and Pops all came to watch.  So proud of Jonah and all his buddies who graduated.  Cannot wait to see how their next chapter unfolds.

Alex: TCU, Chase: TCU, Jonah: Tech, Nick: A&M, Andrew: A&M, Josh: Rose Hulman and Eli: New Mexico Military Institute.

They might not have spelled GRADUATION correctly but...
