Truck Work

Justin and Jonah started working to get Jonah's truck road ready.  They changed the breaks and rotors and two belts.  The next day Jonah noticed that his air was not blowing cold so Justin went and checked to make sure the belt he replaced was not coming off... not only was it not coming off, it was GONE!  There was NO BELT.  Justin was going to do his belts too but decided to take his truck in to have it done so the next day took Jonah's in to get the belts redone.  lol

Cheer Bulletin Boards

Stacie and I were in charge of the bulletin boards up at school for the cheerleaders.  I went up to camp one day so I could get a pic of all the girls.  I then made a 12 x 12 sheet of each girl and cut out their names with my Silhouette machine.  There are 12 on a squad so that was very time consuming.  I also cut out megaphones, poms and letters and made banners.  Stacie and I went up to the school before the first day of school to get them decorated.  We were told what boards to use so we got to work in the NON air conditioned hallways.  

We were working fast so she could get back to work.  We finished and started cleaning up and as we were about to walk away Stacie looked up and said, "oh crap, we did the wrong board".  We both started laughing so hard and could hardly breath.  Coach Meredith came up and asked if we were ok... we finally got out the words that we did the wrong board for the 8th grade.  She started laughing and said to pretend nothing happened.  We went along with it and everything was fine.  We then walked over to the correct board and took down all the old stuff that was up from last year.  How either of us did not catch that is beyond me!  ha

 

Luke's Driving Test and DL

LUKE DID IT!!!  He passed his driving test and GOT HIS LICENSE!!!  So excited for this kiddo.  Luke is a very cautious driver and follows all the rules... it took 4 times to pass his test.  We finally went to a different location and he passed!  First time automatic fail because he hit the curb trying to parallel park the Suburban.  Second time fail, third time automatic fail because his IMPACT was over 90 days so he had to rewatch the video.  So grateful that he got his license the week before school started. 

Soccer Tournament

When you have to wake up early to be at the fields and it is still dark outside... you bring your pillow.  These boys had a tournament this weekend and it was SO STINKING HOT.  We went for breakfast between games.  

 

 

Cheer Camp

Cheer camp started today!  The girls went up to school to learn the cheers and dance from the NCA Cheerleaders.  

 

Dutch Lions

Mitchell and Koen came home with Seth after their game this morning.  They laughed and laughed and laughed.  They had fun bottle flipping, swimming, throwing the football and playing basketball.  Of course we went to Casa Del Bro for lunch.  

 

Jonah In Albany, NY

Jonah went to Albany with Eli and his mom.  They got to go to the horse races and place some bets.  He said it was really nice up there.  

 

Luke The Workout Machine

So proud of this kiddo.  He started working out this summer and has been working hard.  I love getting these texts from him.  He even started getting up and leaving at 6:15 six days a week to workout before school.

Stef In Town

Stef came in town for the 4th of July.  The kids had fun in the pool!  Justin was cutting jalepeno's and then touched his eye so he was blind for a while.
