Random

Cole was in town for work so we got to meet up with her for dinner.  It was so great seeing her, I have not seen her since before COVID!  Justin had been to Florida for work a couple of times so got to see them.

Jonah at the Tech game and Seth had a game.

Lubbock

At 3:00 this afternoon Justin came in and said, "we don't have a soccer game this weekend, let's go to Lubbock".  Sophia got home from school at 5:00, we packed, ate dinner and hit the road.  We rolled in to town at midnight and checked into the hotel.  Jonah had called when we were 30 min. out seeing where we were and sent us a picture of him and Ashley, he ran into her at Logies.

We all showered and crawled in bed and slept in a little.  Jonah met us at the hotel around 11:00 so we could go get Seth a Tech shirt and then grab lunch before the 2:30 game.  We got lucky with the weather and had some cloud cover.  It was still SO HOT.  We had plenty of $7 water bottles and had to pay for a cup of ice but we stayed cool.

Seth got hit in the back of the head with a tortilla so he kept that until it was time to toss them again.  He had his first tortilla toss!  Wreck 'em.  It was a great game, Tech won.  Jonah did not get to sit with us but was just down from us with his fraternity brothers.  We met up after the game and went to dinner.  We ended up at Red Robin because we were starving and that was the only place with no wait... next time, we will wait!  It was SO expensive and not that great.

We said our see ya later to Jonah and headed back to the hotel to shower and crawl in bed.  We would just get up and hit the road in the morning.  It was a fun quick trip and I was so glad I got to hug my baby boys neck.

Luke stayed home with Remington so we missed him!

Hunter And Brianna Wedding

Hunter and Brianna got married in a beautiful little chapel in Corinth, TX.  Dad made the cross for the ceremony and it was perfect! Welcome to the family, Brianna.

Mom and Dad had everyone over to their house after the ceremony for a reception.  They made all the food and it was wonderful!

HOCO

The night that has been in the works for a month is here.  It was hotter than you know what outside and we were meeting for pictures at 5:30 at The Star.  Amy, Sophia's dates mom was the photographer and did an amazing job.  After pictures the kids went to City Works for dinner.  We had heard a rumor the night before that the AC was out.  Seeing as how we had reservations for 38 kids in the upstairs private room we never got a phone call or email about this.  Andrea went up there earlier Saturday and sure enough it was out.  It was almost 100 degrees that day.  They tried telling us it went out during the night but we heard Friday night that it was out.

Andrea, Stacy and I stayed and ate at the restaurant downstairs while all the kids were upstairs.  It was 81 degrees downstairs and so hot.  Apparently they had swamp coolers upstairs.  The kids did not complain so that was nice.

The after party was at Ryan Ellis' house and the kids had so much fun.  Pick up at 11:30 and Sophia went to spend the night with Elyse.

Who knew how much work it would be... the hundreds of dollars spent on the mum/garter, dress, shoes, bouquet, ribbon for bouquet and the ask.  All for pics, dinner and an after party.

Side note... Saturday afternoon Jacob called and asked if he could swing by to make sure his tie matched her dress.  His dad brought him by and they walked in with five different options!  His dad was going to head to the mall if one of those did not work!  Thank goodness one worked!
