Morton Madness

Seth had soccer tryouts today.  There were 40 something trying out for 18 spots.  So proud of his hard work and cannot wait to watch him do what he loves on that field!  

Sophia had cheer tryouts today, we had to wait until Friday at 5:00 before we found out.  It was a very long few days.  So proud of her, cannot wait to watch her cheer this year!  

We had planned on going to Top Golf for Seth's birthday but rain and a cold front blew in so we cancelled it last minute.  Poor kid... we still have not rescheduled.    

Took Sophia to get her permit out in Gainesville today.  I had to get my DL renewed too.  We had a hiccup because her appointment was before mine but since my DL had expired 2 days earlier I had to do my appointment first.  I of course did not have my birth certificate so had to run across the street to the court house and buy a copy.  Got that done and ran back to the DMV so we could finish up.  I did my eye exam and Sophia says, "mom, you did that wrong" LOL  I knew I mixed up the R and P but the lady let it slide.  Sophia is now a permitted driver!  Finished off the day with Seth's soccer game.  

Dominic and I turned FIFTY this year!  Cannot even believe it.  Went to mom and dads to celebrate all the birthdays.    

Had the opportunity to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children with the Dutch Lions. It was so fun getting to pack meals with the club.  Sophia joined in as well.  

Celebrated Sophia's 15th a little early this year.  We had a Monday off of school so took advantage of it.  We went to dinner at Rodeo Goat and had the entire back room to ourselves.  Somehow we made it out of there with not ONE PICTURE!  I also forgot my phone at home so the entire night was off.  She had a fun time... here is to a great year!  

Sophia headed down to Austin with Elyse for the weekend.  She made a family apology on the group text.  LOL

Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl LIX.  Not the outcome we were hoping for but we still love our Chiefs!  22-40.  Claire and Brooke helped get the house decorated by making signs.  We missed Carlie, she got home late from her work trip.   At the beginning of the year Jonah's fraternity draws what football team they will have to root for for the season.  This semester was The Eagles... ABSOLUTELY NOT, SON!  LOL
