Morton Madness

Where has the time gone?  This morning I took Sophia to register for Kindergarten!  When I told her we were going she started crying, she thought that she was not going back to her "old" school.  When I told her that she was not starting today she was OK.   When we got dressed we painted her finger and toe nails for this special day.  She even grabbed her purse for the occasion.  She was SUPER excited when we got there.   All we did was walk in and turn the paperwork in.  She was not ready to turn around and leave so she sat down to color for a while.  

Well, we did not make the early service as planned, Seth slept until 9:00 and we were not about to wake him up!  We made the 11:00 service and then headed to mom and dads for lunch and an egg hunt. 

Seth had his Easter party this morning.   The parents were standing outside of the room and all the kids were coming out holding their baskets to go hunt eggs.  Seth saw me and grinned ear to ear.   Ms. Shanna told them to line up on the wall and he LOST it!  Coughing and gagging telling me he wanted to go home.   We walked outside and when he realized I wasn't going to pick him up he started picking up eggs.  He got a smile on his face and then got upset again when we were heading in for pizza.  He refused to eat at first but then had THREE slices of pizza.  He came home, ate all his candy and took a nap.

After we put the kids to bed Sunday night I came downstairs and saw I missed a couple of calls and had 5 texts.  When I saw they were from my dad my heart starting racing.  I didn't even look at the texts I just called him back.  (It was strange because they had been over at my house and had only been gone a few hours). Dad answers and asked if I got his message or texts.  He proceeds to tell me they are at the ER with mom and waiting to see if she had broke her hand or not.  Dad was waxing the car and mom was out there with him and had Winston on his leash and was bent down brushing him.  Winston saw something and took off running.  Mom got to her feet but could not recover or catch up.  She pretty much ate the pavement!  Her hand was in the leash and she caught herself with that hand.  Thankfully she doesn't have to have surgery and she's just a little banged up.  Poor Mimi!

Papa took Jonah and Luke to the Texas Pinball Festival.   They had fun looking and playing all the old machines.  My dad made me proud... he sent me a picture (one on bottom) of this GUY with long hair and he said he had a full beard too.  Thanks Papa, I know they had fun!

We headed over to play with cousins today.  When we first got there Seth would not leave my side for the first 20 minutes.  He finally went and started playing and kept coughing.   We went home and later that afternoon Seth was running a low grade fever.   Sorry Aunt Carlie! ;(

Last night we had a fundraiser dinner for Team Runge in Addison.  I was meeting Justin there so I had the kids with me.  Traffic was horrible on the Tollway so I exited Frankford and was cutting over to Midway.  I told the kids that I used to live right down the street with Tara when I graduated from college and would show them where when we drove by.  After I tell them that Luke says, "is this where we start talking now so mom doesn't have to"?  ouch! I am THAT mom... telling boring stories!
