Morton Madness

Miesha's save the date came in the mail for her 40th and I am not going to lie... we planned our summer trips around it.  I could not wait to see what this party was going to look like!  I knew she had been planning for months and what else does a party planner do for her 40th???  She hires a party planner of course!   Of course everything was perfect and we had a great time celebrating Miesha turning 40!   Sweet sign Miesha!  So, remember this incident that happened a few years ago?  Well... he strikes again!  I was in the other room and I heard a crash and then Sophia screaming crying bloody murder.  I run out and I cannot even understand her.  I ask if anyone is hurt and she says no then walked me into the guest bathroom to find this!  He just wanted to see the water!

Someone was excited to see daddy! So we wake up from being gone for 8 days and Jonah comes down and tells me his pink eye is BACK!!!  SERIOUSLY, this is the THIRD time in 4 weeks.  Needless to say I got my clorox and wiped down EVERY surface I could think of in the house and rewashed his sheets and pillow AGAIN!   Justin took Seth to Costco with him and when they got back at noon he walked into the house like this!  What in the heck???  I have seen some serious rashes with all the Morton kiddos but never this one.  I of course get online and do a little research and it looked like Roseola.  This picture is actually the next morning and it was now worse, now from face to toes.  I ended up taking him to the doctor and sure enough it was Roseola and it is a virus so nothing can be done!  Once you break out in the rash you are no longer contagious!  OOPPSSSS, SORRY everyone at the MOSI center, airport and airplane!   ...

This mailbox is right down the road from Chad and Coles and everytime we drove by the boys BEGGED us to stop for a picture.  We told them that on our way to the airport we would stop... there is a song they like that has 1738 in it.  They were beyond excited when we pulled over!  Pretty sure this might have been the highlight of their trip.  ha! We got to the airport and through security and and had time to eat, we went to Fridays for a little breakfast then headed to the terminal.  We played musical chairs again on this flight but not half of what we did not the flight out.   Scott offered to go and pick Remington up from the kennel since our plane was not going to land in time and we did not want to keep him there until Monday.  Sophia cried when she saw him and said he grew while we were gone!  Oh the drama. Sophia drew this when we got home.  

Jonah came and woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me that Seth was crying.  I got up and went in his room and he would not tell me what was wrong.  I picked him up and he was on fire, he had a fever.  I got him  some Motrin and it finally broke after an hour.  Being the great mother that I am... I laid down on the air mattress that he and Sophia were sleeping on SHORT WAY until the fever broke.  Of course an hour later when I could not move because I was bent in half I was going to get back in my bed but he woke up and wanted me to stay.   The next morning he was fine and fever free so we headed out to eat lunch and head to the MOSI center.  We started off with the shark movie at the iMax. Seth wanted to sit on my lap and when he crawled up told me he wanted to take a rest.  I kissed him and his fever was back... good thing momma had Motrin in her purse!   We hung around for a little while longer and then headed back ...

Headed back out on the lake and Justin decided to get back on the tube!  He hoped on with Luke and as you can see in the pics... Chad threw them both! We started our mornings off with Starbucks and waiting for everyone to wake up.   Tonight after we put the kids to bed we could hear them laughing and then the crying came.  I went in to check on them and Seth was the one crying.  Jonah said that Seth had been jacking around and hit his head.  He calmed down and I felt around and did not feel anything... He had just had a bath so his hair was a little damp but nothing else.  I then went to jump in the shower and looked in the mirror and saw dried blood on my face... uhhhhhh I ran back into get Seth and brought him in the kitchen in the light and his head was bleeding!  That damp I felt was blood!  This is the tiny cut but it was a lot of blood!  Poor kid, he hit it on a knob that is made from a railroad tie.
