Morton Madness

Aunt Karen and Uncle Don came in town so we went to Julie's to celebrate Christmas with them.   The kids had a blast playing outside in the 70 degree weather.   The girls danced their hearts out!

Sophia had her first Daddy Daughter Dance today.  When I first told her a couple of months ago that she was going she started to cry.  I told her that she did not actually have to dance and she was ok with that.  She then started to get excited the closer the time came.   We decided to all meet at Stacie's house before the dance so we could take pictures and ride together. The dads and girls left so the moms got to hang out for a couple of hours before they got back.   Madelyn, Brielle, Sophia, Lauren and Maggie The dads doing a little pre dance. Instead of going out to dinner after the dance we decided to just order pizza for the girls and hang out at Stacie and Jeff's.  It was now midnight and the girls were BEGGING for a sleepover.  Stacie being the coolest mom ever said ok!  We got the girls in bed and then headed home.   Liz was up early so she took the girls donuts and brou...

I am ONLY posting this DISGUSTING picture for proof for my lovely children.  Seeing as how my dear child is ELEVEN and when I ask him to brush his teeth and he tells me he did he is A, LYING or  B, not touching the toothbrush to his butter teeth!  I honestly DO NOT UNDERSTAND  how this is even possible.  MAKE ME VOMIT!  EVERY time we go to the dentist they tell me how great his brushing is... REALLY???  Sorry Luke, momma is going to start brushing your teeth like a little 2 year old if you cannot do it!

So, it is the 100th Day Of School and the kids are suppose to make a shirt with 100 things.  Sophia decided on Emoji's.  I printed them on transfer paper and cut them all out and got to ironing them on the shirt.  By the time I was done I had a blister on my hand from the iron.  The placement is not perfect along the bottom but I am sure she will love it either way! I helped Liz make Lauren's shirt and it turned out super cute too.

Seth had to get FOUR fillings today.  He did awesome and did not move a muscle the entire time.  They told me that after the gas wore off he could be emotional... they were right! About 3-5 minutes after they turned the gas off I saw Seth's lower lip poke out.  I got up to ask him what was wrong the and crocodile tears started flowing :(  He said, "mommy, I didn't want to do it", my heart sank!  I was so proud of him for doing so awesome!

Sophia could not wait until the Sock Hop.  Sophia's dress was a hand me down from Starr and then Nori.  She was NOT going to wear a poodle skirt but she was so excited about the dress... I know, I am very confused too.  As we were walking in the door Mrs.  Stacey came and grabbed Sophia and ran her up to the stage because all the other girls were already in position for their picture for the button.   This is a great group of girls.  They have been besties since kinder, I know they are only in first grade but I really hope they stay friends, they really are a great group!  Elyse, Harper, Lauren, Sophia, Brielle, Madelyn and Maggie. Sophia said her favorite part of the night was dancing... when the lights were off and only the disco lights were on and she could NOT wait for the daddy daughter dance the following weekend.  

Seth had his Donuts With Dad and this years theme was Super Heroes.  Justin spotted his super hero right away because his was the only bald one!
