Morton Madness

I cut everything out and had Seth and Sophia put their vending machine and Xbox valentine boxes together.  

Sophia and Justin had the Daddy Daughter Dance and Sophia was so excited.  She was dead set on a red dress this year she wanted to be like the rose seeing as how the theme was Beauty And The Beast.  After looking and looking for a red dress I found two that she liked, ordered them and she liked the other one but it did not fit as well as this one.  We painted her nails and she wanted lip stick and mascara.   We were going to have Brielle, Maggie and Madelyn come before the dance for pictures and then come back here after for dinner but that did not happen because Seth woke up with a fever this morning.  Sophia was bummed but she still got to ride with Madelyn to the dance.   I asked Justin to take some pics since we were not able to meet before hand.  I must admit... he did really good!   Found this on the Ciry Of Frisco's Facebook page.  That is all the girls in a train.  

Sophia went to the Sock Hop and Seth decided to stay home.  I went up early to decorate and then sold tickets the entire time so I never took ONE picture.  Someone sent me the one of Sophia with Mollie on her back.  I did not even get a picture before we left the house.  Sophia had so much fun!

Ronbo came in from Houston for his annual duck hunt.  They got up and had a great hunt the first morning.  The second morning Jason went with them and not as much luck!  Jonah was bummed we did not let him miss school.  

Today we celebrated Carlie turning 40 at mom and dads.  We stuffed pasta for lunch!  Sophia helped stuff too!

Justin and I got an email Wednesday telling us that Sophia would be receiving an award at school on Friday.  This is the end of the six weeks and they pick a boy and girl at the end of every grading period.  Sophia not only got this award but she got to stand for perfect attendance,  Straight A's and for having an office referral.  So proud of my sweet girl.  She was not aware that she was going to get the award so when she saw us in the audience she was confused.  When her name was called she got on that stage and stood up there TEAR FREE!  So proud of her!  

This right here folks... it is BIG time!  This is Sophia sleeping in her room in her bed ALONE!  Before dinner she asked if she could move back to her room tonight.  As I felt my heart sink I told her that she could!  THIS IS HUGE!!!  Sophia for a couple of years was coming down to our room EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.  After months of her waking me up we finally put a blow up mattress down so she could just come get out it without waking me up.  I of course would wake up every time she came in the room but... This past summer I put the mattress away and told her NO MORE!  She is wanting to got to sleep away camp this summer and I told her that she is going to have to stop coming to wake me up or she was not going to be able to go.   She decided to ask Seth if she could sleep in his room in his spare bed.  That was in June... she had spent EVERY night in there except TWO and that is only because Seth would get mad at her and tell her eno...
