New Years Eve

We decided to stay in this New Years Eve and lay low. Around 4:30 we decided to call Chad and Cole and see if they wanted to have an early dinner at Tupy's. They are new to the area and do not go out much because they do not know where to go. After dinner they came over to hang out, Sophia went to bed and the boys watched a movie. They were gone by 10:00... I was thankful, I was yawning at 8:30 :) I am getting so old!

Duck Hunt: Justin, Nic and Chad

Justin, Dominic and Chad went out to Lewisville for a hunt today... they came back with a ring neck and a canvas back. Not a bad hunt.

My newest sewing project

For Christmas Daphne made me the cutest dish towels. I knew that if I attempted I might be able to figure it out. Well, I figured it out... along with figuring out that the seem ripper is my best friend :)

I made these for Aunt Karen who by the way is a perfectionist when it comes to sewing. I told her not to look closely at the stitching and she might be able to enjoy them a lot more... ha ha ha

Daddy on vacation... for real

Don't judge! So he likes a grande six pump no water chai. I am sharing mine... its not his own.

Justin has been on vacation for a week and will not go back to work until after the new year. We are SO excited he is home. He has never taken this much time off, especially during a holiday, that is usually the time when the upgrades or testing takes place since no one is working...

We have been doing a lot of reading this break, Jonah got the rest of the Diary of A Wimpy Kid series and can't put them down. Luke loves playing Connect Four and has won lots of times.

We brought the Wii back from Mimi and Papa's for a few days so the boys could play and they were super excited.

Yesterday Justin took the boys to see Tangled and they said it was really good.

I am loving the help I get with Sophia... feedings, weekly chiropractor appointments and diaper changes :) I am going to miss Justin when he goes back to work. He is an AWESOME dad!

Missing The Vellas

We went out to lunch today and thought about The Vellas. We miss them dearly but Hoots will be here when they return for a visit or for good :) Ansley got a new email address so we took a picture of the kids to email Piper and Ansley to let them know we were thinking of them.

10 months old

10 months old... Sophia loves to play peek a boo and cannot get enough of her Jonah and Luke. She still stinks at taking naps but sleeps through the night so I guess I can't complain. She is pulling up on everything and still puts everything in her mouth. With everything I sweep out of it I am certain I could feed the homeless!

It is also really hard to snap a picture these days because she is always on the move.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Round 1

Christmas Eve we went over to my parents house for dinner and the boys could not stand seeing all the gifts under the tree with their names on them. They talked Mimi and Papa into letting them open one. Papa found them a dart bow and arrow. They looked pretty fun except for the fact they would not really work... the boys got upset so they got to open another gift. Legos!

Of all mornings the boys decide to sleep in. WHAT? Momma got up before 6:00 to get in the shower and get the cameras set up and ready for them to come down the stairs. Sophia woke up, we fed her and we sat and we sat and we sat... FINALLY an hour later we hear them jump out of bed. They came down stairs slowly and were SO excited to see that Santa came.

I have NO idea where my brain has gone but I did not really take a lot of pictures. I think the Parvo took me for all I had the week before Christmas.

After we did our Christmas here we started cooking and then headed back over to mom and dads for Christmas with them. We were excited because Jason, Kel, Caroline, Matthew, Ben, Ron and Nina got to join us there.

The dress that Sophia is wearing was Caroline's when she was little. She was Mrs. Claus for the day.

Santa parachuting in Frisco Square Round 2

Last week Santa could not parachute down into Frisco Square because it was too windy. They rescheduled it for tonight so we headed out. He was going to jump at 5:15 and Jonah had a soccer game at 6:45. We got to see Santa and two elves jump and land. The boys thought it was pretty cool. After that we loaded up and headed to the soccer fields. Jonah's team won 4 to 1. Jonah even played goalie for the first time.

Luke's hat trick

Luke had a hat trick in today's game. We were SO proud of him! The game was kind of a beating... it was 27 to 1. I actually felt bad for the other team.

Luke's Christmas party at school

Luke making his snowman. That was the biggest marshmallow I have every seen.

Luke and Mrs. O'Connell

If you are wondering what is up with the cowboy hat... Luke's teacher gave it to him for Christmas with some goodies inside of it. He wore it the day before the party and slept with it and had to wear it to school the next day. He was so excited to wear it.

Jonah's Christmas Party at School

Jonah's crafts he made

Jonah had to guess how many candies were in the jar. He guessed 50 and there were 52 in there. He was the first one to guess too.

Number 6 for Jonah

Jonah lost his 6th tooth today. This is the first tooth that he has pulled himself. This is a before and after picture.
