For the past few weeks we have really noticed Jonah acting out... well, more than normal :) When Jonah gets home from school I read the note that his art teacher has written saying that Jonah was not listening and had to be moved to another table and then was arguing with table mates. So then I get this email from his teacher. Read below. I must say that the last sentence about made me wet myself. I know that he should not talk back but that is such a Jonah thing to say.
I responded to his teacher telling her that his new sister will be here by the end of Feb. and that we are going to be moving soon. I am sure that has something to do with it. She mentioned that he has been talking about moving a lot.
We had a talk with him last night telling him that he needs to start listening and following directions and bla bla bla. He is supposed to be going to San Antonio this weekend with Mimi and Papa to see his cousins but is aware that if he does not have a good rest of the week at school then he will not go to San Antonio.

I don't know what is going on with Jonah, so I wondered if you could offer some insight. I have had 3 teachers complain about his behavior. Yesterday, Mrs. Jones said he was not making good choices in Music and not listening to directions. Today, he was disciplined in the lunchroom for playing "guns" and after he was told not to, he continued the inappropriate behavior. See also, the note from Mrs. Norton. In my classroom, he has not been very nice to classmates. He is not taking responsibility for his choices (as we talked about, before). We have been talking about Martin Luther King and slavery, so when I asked him to walk the think track throughout recess, he said that I was making him a slave!!
