Happy 39th Anniversary to my parents! Guess we will never forget when William and Kate got hitched...
I must admit, I was SO BEAT DOWN about hearing about this wedding I really did not care a thing about it. I would turn the TV off every time they would talk about it or at least hit the mute button. I was not even going to turn the TV on that day to be honest. I was OVER IT! Yes, I know it only happens once every 30 years or so but I guess I have my own things to worry about. Then I got a text from Lauren saying that she was going to have a tea and watch the wedding and wanted to know if I could come. I thought to myself, why not. So Sophia and I headed over there and Lauren had made tea, finger sandwiches, and scones. She even had the china out!
While eating we turned the recorded ceremony on and I just chased Sophia around. After about 3o minutes of that I was beat so we loaded up and left. Lauren could not believe that I was not going to stay for the ceremony. Sorry girl! Thanks for having us though.
So, my point being... I better blog about this special day showing that I was alive and well during a "Royal Wedding".

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton captivated the world last Friday. At least it seemed that way. More than 7,000 press credentials were issued for the wedding. More than 20 make shift broadcast booths were built in a temporary structure outside of Buckingham Palace for foreign media to capture “the kiss”.
Eleven U.S. networks carried the entire wedding festivities including E!, TLC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, Univision, Fox News Channel and BBC America. According to Neilson, an average of 22.8 million US viewers tuned in for the actual ceremony between 5 – 6:15 a.m. central time. And that’s just the tv coverage.
Twitter has reported that there were 2.6 million Tweets on Friday about the wedding. Facebook estimates that 1.953 million U.S. users and 1.004 million British users posted updates about the wedding. Most every print and on-line newspaper covered the story in some form or fashion.
