Happy Halloween

Justin came home early with some pumpkins and they got to carving right away! The boys were both some type of ninja and Sophia was a Texas Tech Cheerleader. Justin took her to a few houses to trick or treat and she loved it. He brought her home and went back out with the boys for some more candy.

Happy Halloween!

School pics

I never order school pics to hand out because they are not usually that great! It drives me crazy that you can pick your background, pose, and have the option to airbrush your child's blemishes. REALLY? So your telling your child that it is NOT OK to look like that?

I remember every time we would have family pictures scheduled one of the boys would have a knot or bruise on their head and the photographer would tell me they could "fix" it. Why would you do that? That is how my boys were at the time and for months after. It was strange to not see a bump on their head :)

I think the pics actually turned out pretty cute. They are only blurry because I took a picture of the picture.

Alphabet letter rocks

I saw this idea on a website and thought it would be a fun way for the boys to practice for spelling tests.

I got the rocks from mom and dads house and mom had all the paint and a sharpie so we got to painting. The boys and I painted the letters on and Aunt Carlie started outlining the letters with a sharpie and putting the white dots on. After all of that dried we had to put on a clear top coat so the paint would not chip off.

The boys had a blast doing it and could not wait for them to dry. So the next morning they made their first word (see picture below). Makes a momma proud! Notice they used the "f" upside down for the second "t". Pretty smart if you ask me :)

It's getting crowded in here

Sophia decided to wake up at 4:20 on Sat. morning. WHAT was she thinking? We do not even have a soccer game this weekend. Come on sister, what gives? I let her cry for a little while but finally after 10 minutes I knew something had to be wrong. What if she pooped, what if she has fever, what if.... Well, I was WRONG, there was NO what if... I brought her down to my room and she kicked me to death and talked for over an hour. FINALLY a little after 6:00 she fell back asleep. Of course she has to lay on top of me so I could not fall back asleep and if I moved she would wake up. She slept until 7:15 and then the boys came down and crawled in bed with us. I think we need a bigger bed so when number 4 comes along we will have room.

The funny look on everyone's face is because of the flash on the camera because it was still dark outside.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to Grace Ave. Pumpkins On The Prairie. Sophia had a blast running all around. It was hard to get her to sit still for a picture. Justin took the kids on the hayride while I sat in the truck because I do not think I could have handled the bumpy ride with my tailbone. We got some great shots until we realized there was something on the lens of the camera...

Jonah's first report card

Way to go Jonah! Second grade is when you start getting "real" grades. We are so proud of our Jonah bear! His teacher told me at the conference that he would have higher grades but he rushes through the work and does not always read the directions. She said he knows how to do it because she will ask him and then he gets it.

First spelling test

For the pre test Luke put "crap" instead of trap. Below is the real test and he still missed "trap" by putting "thap". I am just happy he did not put crap again because then I might need to start worrying!

My drug of choice

So in the post earlier this week, I was PROUD to say that I had quit Starbucks cold turkey for about 17 weeks...

Now, I am back on that wagon and am there every day.

There are mornings where Justin will meet me in the parking lot at Starbucks as I am pulling out of the drive thru. I am sure there could be some juicy stories circulating around the parking lot but...

So I pull up to the speaker the other morning and the guy says, "hey, you getting both this morning?" meaning, grande coffee, cream and two raw sugars for Justin and of course the grande, six pump, no water chai. I said, "no, just the chai" and his response, "so, just the grande, nonfat, 6 pump, no water chai." NAILED it! That is the way Justin orders if for me :)

So as I pull up to the window the girl hands me my drink and says, "hey girl, how are you, hey Miss Sophia, how are you this morning".

YES, I HAVE A PROBLEM BUT I DON'T WANT HELP! :)

20 Months Old

Today Sophia is 20 months old. She is having a verbal explosion and does NOT stop talking. Her favorite thing to say now is, "I want boys, I want boys". She will also ask for daddy and Papa constantly. When she poops she says, "poo, poo" and then runs to the corner of the couch and hides behind the cushions and thinks it is so funny.

It's another... BOY!

Today I went in for my 20 week check up and sonogram. Everything looks great and the little guy is about 11 oz. We knew it was a boy a few weeks ago but it was confirmed today. He was waving his arm all about and punching me and grabbing his knee while we were looking at him. I cannot believe we are HALF way there!

I am feeling pretty good these days, just T I R E D! I do not sleep AT ALL. I am up usually 5-6 times a night and never stay asleep for more than 45 min to an hour at a time. It is brutal and I am back on my Starbucks IV DAILY again. I went 17 weeks without out it... cold turkey because it tasted horrible, now I do not even care if it tastes bad, momma needs the pick me up!

Last week I took a tumble down a few stairs and I'm not going to lie... it hurt... I even cried a little. My tailbone hurts like a mother when I sit and stand after sitting for a while. There is nothing I can do but to get over it :)

This last week the charley horses in my legs started during the night. Last night I jumped out of bed so fast because my toes were pointed completely south. I did not think I was ever going to get my foot flat on the floor. My calf was so sore this morning I could hardly walk.

Luke's first pre spelling test

Luke had his first pre spelling test today. Look at number 3! Seriously... as mommy powers down and puts her head down.

Noah

Sweet little Noah is one month old! He weighed in at 10 pounds at his one month check up. Sophia is obsessed with Noah and every picture of a baby she sees she says, "Noah, Noah".

Time to get the boys

It was time to get the boys from the bus stop and this is how I let Sophia walk out! She has on mismatched jammies over her clothes and Luke's shoes.

Luke's backpack...

I found this in Luke's backpack when he got home on Friday!

It says, "One day when I got out of bed I was handsome"

Run For The Gold

The boys had their Run For The Gold Run today. This is the one fundraiser for the year where they run laps for money. Thanks to all that donated! They really look forward to doing this every year. This year if they meet the goal then the principals have to kiss a real pig! With the money they will get iPads for the classrooms. They not only reached their goal but exceeded it and raised $54,774.12

Wacky Hair Day

Today was wacky hair day at school. We had some hair color and the boys could not wait to get their hair sprayed red and blue.

Shoe and jammie obsession

Sophia is not only OBSESSED with wearing the boys shoes but putting her jammies on OVER her clothes. I guess she likes the layered look. She will go and get them out of the laundry room and put them over her clothes. If we leave the house she has to have the boys flip flops on so the floor board in my truck looks like a shoe store. I have to empty the car every day of mismatched shoes and wonder why the boys can never find a match! Notice the placement of the toes in the shoe... ouch!
