Tonight for dinner we met Justin at Brooklyns. When I told the boys where we were going they asked if they could bring quarters so they could buy some "junk" in the machines. I told them that was fine and of course the machine eats the money and Luke gets upset so he goes and tells the lady at the front and she gives him more quarters and GUESS WHAT! It eats them again. I told him to pick another machine. Jonah decides he needs some bling... maybe its the Italian in him. LOL
So fast forward to out drive home. Jonah says, "mom, can I get my ear pierced"? Silence... crickets chirping... more silence. Maybe if I ignore him he will drop it, right? NOT A CHANCE! "Mom, can I get my ear pierced"?
As I regain control of the Suburban... (not really) my response, "sure, you can start wearing dresses and hair bows too."
His response, "no mom, just the little stud one and in one ear, not both."
WHAAAAAATTTTTTT?
My answer was NO and he asked why and I told him that it is for girls, not boys. Jonah's response, "then why does my friend have HIS pierced"? I obviously could not answer that and did not really want to even make a reason up as to WHY ON EARTH a second grade boy has his ear pierced.
How about you ask your dad when we get home. He makes the rules :) So when we get home he asks dad and you can imagine his response!
Soooooo, the next day he gets home from school and I notice his jewels on his hand. He wore them ALL day.
