Uncle Dave and Aunt T come for a visit

Aunt T and Uncle Dave came down from Kansas City for a visit. We were trying to figure out the last time they made it down was and we think it was for Stef and Tommy's wedding! That was about 13 years ago. We were so glad they could make it and had such a great visit! Saturday everyone came out to our house for fajitas and Sunday we headed to mom and dads for some basta and meatballs. Justin had to leave town Sunday afternoon for Houston for a few days so we were sad to see him go since he had been home for two weeks paternity leave.

Uncle Dave had a time trying to get Sophia to come see him! He even tried to get her with food! Little toot would have nothing to do with him until we were leaving and she was on Papa's shoulders and she leaned in to give him a kiss to say goodbye! He FINALLY won her over!

Seth's 2 week check up

We went to see Dr. Kaplan today for Seth's 2 week check up and he weighed 9lbs 4oz. He looks great and is growing!

After Seth's appointment I had my two week post op appointment and was waiting to get cleared to drive. Everything looked great so off we went!

I dropped Justin off at work and headed to pick Sophia up from school. I had a few minutes so I decided to feed Seth. He of course pooped so I decided to put him in the front seat and change him. As I lifted his legs he PROJECTILE POOPED! Yes, you read that right.. I even took a pic to prove it! As he was doing that he then started peeing ALL over himself and down my seat. WAIT! he was NOT finished... he then vomits all down himself while laying down... there is not pee and vomit ALL over my front seat! I wish I could have seen what I looked like while this was all going down! I was laughing so hard at myself, what else can you do? You would have thought that I was a first time mom.

I made it inside to pick Sophia up and then rushed home to get Seth in the bath. My first outing with Seth by myself... that is one I will never forget.

Luke the turtle

So not only did Flat Stanley come home the day before we went to the hospital to have Seth but we found out that the following Thursday Luke was in a school program and had to have a frog, turtle or dragonfly costume. The note said not to worry about buying anything... REALLY?

So I of course could NOT send Justin out to the craft store for supplies because who knows what he would have come home with :) My mom and dad were on a mission and got it done! THANK YOU MIMI AND PAPA!!!

We used an old backpack and a breast plate from an old costume that they covered for Luke. He looked great!

Seth's Birth Annoucement Photo Shoot

How exciting and fun this time should be.  We were going to get the perfect shot for Seth's birth announcement and get them in the mail.  Boy was I ever WRONG!  Just when I thought I could not sweat anymore!  My hormones are running rampant and momma is FLASHING!

Seth was not very cooperative at this memorable event.  He would NOT stay asleep and his poor little tummy was giving him a fit and he could not stop pooping!  It was a long two day process to get a good picture of our sweet boy.  Of course I saw some great ideas on Pinterest but big brothers and sister were NOT cooperating either.  Jonah and Luke were mad at the world because they had to wear "stupid shirts and stupid jeans" why did they have to be dressed up AND get their hair combed!  (insert more momma sweat here and a little yelling).  If you would just smile and stop gripping WE COULD BE DONE!!!  ahhhhhhhhh

Sophia was so exhausted and would not take a nap but we tried anyway.  She did not want to go down because she knew for sure that her Noah was coming.  Long story short, she went down for a little while and I think woke up in a worse mood than before the nap.  So after hours or trying to get the perfect shot that obviously did NOT happen we did get some great ones.

Thanks again Carlie and Nic!

typical moment... Seth screaming and Noah smiling!

Trying to get them to lay still... yea right!

Sophia in heaven, she has her Noah

Justin was under the blanket holding his feet just right!

Deliveries

Aunt Amy sent some beautiful flowers and some yummy cupcakes! I of course had to add the "truck" arrangement from the IT Department at GE. Yes, folks... those are FAKE flowers in the the truck. I seriously could not help but laugh! I know it was VERY thoughtful but still hillarious :)

So long trees! White Trash style...

We have been talking about getting rid of a few trees on the side of the house that were not doing well. Tonight at dinner Justin decided tonight was the night! He loaded Sophia up in the truck, dropped it in 4 low and got the chain... So long trees! The kids thought this was the COOLEST thing ever! All I could think was how white trash we must look and praying no one could see that we drove the truck in the backyard and started tearing down trees!

Headed to hit some balls

The boys could hardly wait to go and hit golf balls with Justin! They had a great time and cannot wait to go back.

Uncle Jason & Sugar Britches

Uncle Jason loves his Sugar Britches aka Sophia. When Uncle J comes he tells her he's going to get her and get her sugars.

What's her response you ask... She freaks out!!! She starts backing up saying, "momma, momma" and puts her finger in her mouth and will NOT look his way. We laugh and tell her it's ok and he won't get her and she still freaks out.

The other day his name was mentioned and she backed herself in a corner of my closet and said, "no momma, no Jason" and stuck her finger in her mouth! Ha ha ha. I assured her that he was not coming and she finally came out of the corner.

Today Aunt Kelly came to take the boys for the day and after they left Sophia was asking for the boys. I told her they were at Uncle Jason's house, she looked over at me and said, "Uncle Jason, get me, britches... sugars" and started laughing! We just might be making progress folks! Uncle Jason will be so happy!

Aunt Kelly and Uncle Jasons

Aunt Kelly came to pick the boys up right before lunch and took them to the musuem and then for a sleep over. They had a great time playing with cousins. They could not get very wild and crazy since Caroline had school the next day.
