Fresh Florida Blueberries

Chad headed back to Florida for the picking season.  He sent a gallon of blueberries back for us to try.    We, and when I say "we" I mean my mom, made muffins and they were wonderful!  SOOOOO much better than the boxed muffins. We had to pack up and stay there for the weekend because the fumes were so bad from the paint.

Paint ball party

The boys went to Colemans party this weekend and they played paintball.  They were so excited to play since they have never played before!  Jonah of course is obcessed with any "shoot 'em" up type of thing so he was in heaven.  Even the dads joined in.  They had a blast even though they came home with some war wounds.

There Are NO Words... for once

To whom it may concern,

It's a typical morning at The Morton house, the boys got dressed, ate breakfast and packed their bags. As I am getting dressed I look at Jonah and think to myself... his shorts look really big, almost ridiculous big. Did I buy the wrong size? I know I got a 8/10 and thats what he wears, were they marked wrong? Luke has one size smaller and I know they would not fit Jonah. I let it pass and continue what I was doing.

It's now 7:00 and time to head to the bus stop. I was walking behind the boys and just could not let it go! I finally asked Jonah to stop and I said, "are your shorts pulled up"? The look on his face answered for me even before he smirked and pulled his shirt up!

I was mortified, speechless and even thought about counting to 10 before speaking or yelling, but could not yell, it's 7:00 am and the entire neighborhood would hear my screeching, I did not want to scare anyone for crying out loud!

I told him ABSOLUTELY NOT (in a kind, calm and low voice and maybe a little chuckle) and he was NOT to do that and he could get in trouble if he did that at school!

Are you ready? Sit down folks... because what my son, Jonah Patrick Morton was doing was "saggin'".

As I came to the medics had smelling salts under my nose saying, "Mrs. Morton, are you alright?". OK, so that part didn't really happen but it could have!

For those hand full of people who actually read my blog most likely remember Jonah used to wear his pants up under is his armpits WITH his shirt tucked it!

Down by two

When the boys came home from school Friday they had a surprise waiting for them. Mimi, Papa and Winston were here to take them to San Antonio to see Uncle Tommy, Aunt Stefanie and COUSINS!

They were so excited when we told them, Jonah's response, "WHAT, I can't wait six hours to play XBox!".

Luke told us that he had to use a word at school and he used "ZANE" and he did not even know he was going to see him today.

Sophia went down around 7:30 and Seth was just starting his day... We decided to watch a movie and call it a night. I of course fell asleep during the movie, as usual and was only expecting Seth to wake up once during the night. I was so excited to get some sleep!

If you are wondering why on earth I was expecting Seth to only wake up once during the night it's because every other night it's once then the next night is twice. Not really sure why but that's how it's turned out.

So off to dream land I went, soon followed by Justin.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Justin and I jump out of bed because someone is BANGING on our front door... not knocking, BANGING on the glass. Justin stops at our bedroom door to "wake up" a bit and I am sitting there grabbing for the phone. It's midnight and of course we are trying to figure out what is going on.

Justin finally gets to the door and comes back and says, "I ought to get in my truck and go chase those kids who just toilet papered our yard!". That's the clean version :).

I told him he is NOT opening the door. What if it was someone trying to see if we were home or if we heard them banging and that would be their way into the house.

OK, now your wondering why I would think that just because our house got papered. Well, here is the reason I was FREAKING myself out. The night before we watched a movie called Trespass. It is about a home invasion, people dressed like cops knocked on their door and they let them in and bam! They were being robbed.

So now that we are TOTALLY freaked out, we decide to turn the porch light on to let them know we are home AND heard them.

Of course they HAD to know someone was home since both cars were parked out front and have been for two weeks with all the construction going on!

Obviously they did not see the DU stickers on the back of both trucks and realize that Justin embraces his 2nd amendment right to bear arms and is packing some heat! I'm not gonna lie... the shotgun made it out of the safe and bedside.

I know... Your probably thinking that's a little extreme but WHY would we get TP'd? Our kids are all 8 and younger. They did a really bad job too, there were two full rolls on the ground and 4 full rolls in the trees. When Justin was cleaning up he found rocks shoved in the tubes, I guess to make them fly better... nice try but it didn't work!

My Turkeys

I love how this picture turned out.  The boys had just come home from school and were giving Seth some lovin'.  Great pic for using my iPhone and them being on my unmade bed hot sweaty fresh off the school bus.

Easter & Justin's birthday lunch

This morning we got up and got ready for the 10:00 service and headed out to Grapevine with Dominic and Carlie. We were ready early so we decided to take some pictures outside. Justin got Seth dressed and asked if he should put a bib on him. I told him to take the picture and then we would. Well, of course as soon as he sat Seth up he barfed all over his outfit. We kept him in it for the picture and then changed him. So after he is in his new outfit Justin picks him up and he barfs all down Justin's shirt. I am not talking a little barf, Justin had to change his shirt. All of this and we are STILL ready to roll by 9:00am with FOUR kids!

After a fantastic service we headed over to mom and dads for some lunch and an Easter egg hunt. Of course it was raining so the Easter Bunny left the eggs in the house. Grannie, Nina, Jason and Kelly joined us for lunch.

The boys were upstairs having a dance off and I got some great shots. After all of this we celebrated Justin's birthday. We had a great assortment of goodies, Jason made his peach cobbler and brownies and we had birthday cake and ice cream and to top it off all the Easter candy!

Good Friday

We started out the day with NO SCHOOL! YIPPEE We decorated cookies for a snack and momma totally forgot to pull out the stuff to dye Easter eggs :(

We all went on a walk to feed the ducks... only thing is, there were NO ducks! It was hotter than snot outside and it was only 80 degrees! When we got home we decided we better have a water balloon fight to cool off.

Sophia's Easter Party

Today was Sophia's Easter egg hunt at school. She looks terrified but she really did have fun!
