Sean and Monica had their Third Annual "Wurstzinski Sausagefest" today.
We headed out to Ft. Worth around 1:00 to watch the Tech/OU game. We didn't tell him Daph was with us so he was really surprised to see her. She couldn't stay long because she had a 5:00 flight.
He made about 10 different German Sausages and had a few different kinds of German beer. Lance and Lori were there and Jeff Golden showed up! It's always great to see the guys from Tech.
They had a bounce house for the kids this year and our kids bounced their booties off!
Some of the big kids had gone inside and the littles had gone into the bounce house. All of a sudden we all hear kids screaming in panic. I have never seen so many parents move so fast... The bounce house was collapsing on the kids, all three of them were three and younger. All the parents were trying to lift the house up when it hit me, hellooooooo, turn the thing back on!!! I ran to the back of the bounce house and as I was running towards the switch Monica had beat me to it! I seriously felt like I was going to vomit, I had heard horror stories about this exact thing happening...
... and then I saw it! My blood ran cold and I really did think I was going to vomit! Standing next to Monica looking up at her was the culprit who hit the switch! Yep, you guessed it, Seth William Morton in the flesh.
I did what any good mother would have done and snatched him up, walked around to the front of the bounce house where the parents were consoling their crying children, held Seth out and yelled, "whose kid is this"? Thank goodness everyone laughed it off!
So, it's now getting dark and the storm is coming! It starts sprinkling so we all go inside and it starts pouring! We waited it out for a while but it is now 9:00 and the kids are loosing their minds! We finally decide to make a run for it. We got SOAKED on the way to the car! Nothing like being wet and cold for an hour drive home.
The rain actually slowed down by the time the kids were buckled in. The drive home was not that bad and the lightening was awesome!
Sean's annual pic of "the sausage". He did this last year and I told him that I swear I had one of him in college doing this! I of course went through the college pictures and sure enough... there it was! This just goes to show that some things never change with Studzinski!
