Vegas Day Three

Friday morning we headed back out to the pool and got another cabana.  Justin, Chad, Scott and Pat went to play golf so the girls and Matt stayed behind at the pool.   We got a great deal on the cabana the second day because we were with Matt and he ALWAYS gets good deals because of some error :)

We decided to leave the pool and go shop for a little while before heading out for dinner.  We did not even shower and OF COURSE saw Eva LaRue from All My Children and CSI Miami in the Chanel store.  Nori and I went up and talked to her and she was super nice.  So, don't mind us, we smell like sun screen and sweat!

Dinner at Holsteins again...

When I opened my email I saw that Luke had sent me a message.  When I read it my heart melted!

and then there was this one...

After dinner we grabbed a cab and headed to downtown Vegas aka The Old Strip to check it out and do a little gambling.  I must say that this cab ride was like NO OTHER!  When the valet guy opened the door the hard core heavy metal was cranked up.  The driver was a white male and covered in tattoos and piercings.  He drove crazy like all of them and then proceeded to tell us EVERYTHING!  This was confessions of the taxi cab DRIVER.  I found out some things that I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing!  Lets just say there are only TWO hotels that he has not had some fun times in.  We found out other tid bits but cannot write about them because my children will read this one day!

We finally make it downtown.  Talk about an ENTIRE different atmosphere!  It was dirty, old and the people OMG!  WOW is all I can say.  We thought we were going to get mugged or shot!  We ended up in the El Cortez Casino for some gambling.  Again, Justin lost BUT was in the game the longest he had been all week so that was a bonus!

We finally headed back to the Strip about 2:00 and I am pretty sure my eyes were bleeding at some point.  I was SO tired.

Vegas Day Two

We decided to get a cabana for the day so we would not melt and turn into lobsters.  Justin and I had to go and sit through a seminar for a time share for a couple of hours so that was a whip but worth is since we got a free hotel for the trip.  We went and met up with everyone at the pool.  Lia and Scott showed up after their THREE hour lay over in Minnesota.

After the pool we headed to STK for some dinner.

Back to the Runges room for some drinks before the limo picked us up at 9:30 for Nori's surprise for Matt.   Justin told Matt he got us a limo for the night to take us out.  The limo was really a curtesy limo from The Little White Wedding Chapel so Matt and Nori could renew their vows.  We knew there could not be alcohol in the limo so Justin was telling everyone to drink up.  Matt could not figure out why Justin kept saying to drink up.  We just knew that Matt was going to think we were cheap getting a limo with no alcohol!  LOL

Not sure WHY I am standing that way

The girls went ahead to check the limo out and Jill (in red) decided to photo bomb this girl taking selfies while her friend was on the phone.

Matts reaction when we yelled surprise!

The minister gave an awesome sermon.  It was hotter than _____ in the chapel and we were about to melt.  The minister told Matt he needed a best man so he chose Justin.  Nori chose her sister Lia and she was SO excited she was picked.  We all had a good laugh when Lia jumped up and said, " I was hoping it was me".

Justin had the giggles and could not stop laughing.  Notice the sweet shirt Matt had on.  He bought that there and left it on the rest of the night!

Vegas... Day One

Side note...In true Morton fashion...  We are leaving for the airport at 9:30 Wed. morning and at 5:10 pm Tuesday evening Seth came downstairs and he was COVERED head to toe in a rash.  It was not a little rash it was ALL over his ENTIRE body.  He literally just broke out within a matter of minutes.  Of course is was after 5:00 and the doctor was closed and we were leaving town the next morning.

We took him to Acute Kids and the doctor said that he saw one blister in his mouth and it was most likely hand, foot and mouth.  Of course now that the rash has appeared he is no longer contagious!  There was not ONE sign of him being sick, no fever and no weird behavior.  So, I called my inlaws and told them to be on the look out for Sophia breaking out.  Thank goodness she never did... yet!

IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!  We have been waiting for this trip for about 9 months.  We had a late morning flight out.  I dropped the littles off at school and came home to grab our bags and we headed to the airport.  Only Justin will go through security on a conference call!

The flight was uneventful so that was nice.  For some reason we did not have seats together and the flight was full so that was a little annoying.

We had a limo pick us up at the airport and drop us by the liquor store on the way to the hotel.

Just got to the room and Justin had to log in...

Finally!  No work... for now.  We headed over to the Cosmopolitan to Matt and Nori's room for some drinks and then off to gamble.  The other two couples would not be getting in until late that night.

Chad and Jill finally got here so we met up with them.  Off to gamble some more.  Actually I will just refer to gambling as "The Mortons loosing" from here on out.  :)  Lady Luck was NOT on our side this trip!

We headed out to walk the strip and Nori HAD to get her picture made with the minions... and Justin.

Back to gambling.  Justin had lost... a lot!  He was done for the day and gave me the last $7 he had and said, "don't come back unless you win".  I sat down at Wheel Of Fortune and MOMMA WON!  $20 and 50 cents!  WOOHOOOOO

BEST HOTEL EVER!  I saw THIS in our room.

Dinner at Holsteins.  The burgers were GREAT!

Luke Turns Nine

Today Luke turned NINE!  I cannot believe it... Meemaw and Pops came over and brought him a cake and some gifts.  We all headed to dinner at Salsa, birthday boys choice.  He ordered shrimp tacos.  Happy Birthday Lukie!
