Sophia's Spring Performance was today and in true Morton fashion... she missed it! It made me sick to my stomach and so sad for her. When I picked her up from school yesterday she was ASLEEP! WHAT??? It is NEVER a good sign when Sophia is asleep when I pick her up from school. She woke up and when I hugged her she was FIRE hot. I know... she just woke up but I knew she had a fever. SHE WAS ASLEEP FOR CYRING OUT LOUD PEOPLE!!! I knew it was coming, not only was her performance coming but Seth has had Strep this week.
We got home and I took her temp and it was 102.7. She crawled on the couch and then into my bed. She did not say TWO words and laid around ALL afternoon. Poor sister was going to have to miss her performance she worked so hard on. So greatful that Mrs. Cheryl took this video during dress rehearsal and Sophia was singing and doing all the movements. I just KNEW she was going to get on stage and not cry the entire time like the Christmas performance and she missed it!
