Seths Fall Party

Seth had his fall party this afternoon.   He was having fun until he spotted me... then the tears came and of course he wanted to go home.  No sobbing this time so that was a step up from last year!  He eventually sat down, ate a sucker and a cookie and decorated his pumpkin.

Bringing Back The Geotrax

It has been a long time coming!  The Geotrax have been up in my closet since we moved into this house 5.5 years ago.  It was finally time to bring them back out!  The only problem is, they would be in my bedroom since there is carpet upstairs and the track will not work on carpet!

I checked every train and every remote trying to get one that worked.  I traded out all batteries and only got three of the trains and remotes to work.

Lukie!

My stomach always drops when "Allen" pops up on caller ID.  I answered the phone to hear Mrs. Wilkinsons voice on the other end... this is not even the assistant principal, this is the head principal telling me she has Luke in her office!  WHAT!!! I know it's horrible but I always think the worst judging our past encounters with her...

She was calling to tell me that Luke was sent down by Mrs. Westphal because he made a 93 on his class assignment and got the highest grade out of the two classes!  Luke got on the phone to tell me too, he was super excited!  SO PROUD of Luke.
Luke is not one who cares for school and he rushes through everything and when he actually puts some effort into it he makes great grades!  His teacher sent me an email telling me that he rushed through the assignment and was the first to turn it in.  She noticed he missed a few and told him to go sit back down and actually read the assignment this time.  Well,  he did and bam!  He got a 93!  Woohoo.  So thankful she gave him a second chance.

Shelli And Cesar Baby Shower

Nina, Jill and Virginia hosted a baby shower for Shelli and Justin and I provided the house.

We grilled burgers and dogs and heated the pool for the kids to swim.  The cousins had fun swimming,  playing nerf guns and being together... we don't do it enough!  Can't wait until November 19th and meet the newest cousin!

Studs 40th

We headed out to Keller to celebrate Studs 40th.  We ate at Texas Bleu, a farm to table steak house the food was great but the service was a little slow since this was the first week they were open.

We had our own patio upstairs and the weather was beautiful.

Run For The Gold

Luke and Sophia had their Run For The Gold today at school.  Sophia was so excited this morning and kept telling me how tired she was going to be when she got home.

Her run was scheduled for 11:30 and the sun was beating down with no cloud in site.  I had sweat dripping down my back and Seth moaning and groaning he was hot and wanted to go home.

The kids start to come out and line up and I finally see Sophia through the crowd and she is in tears holding the teachers hand.  She would NOT walk or run the track.  She sat on the curb with my sweat dripping on her!  She finally told me that there were too many people there watching and that's why she would not get on the track!  I wanted to thump her and tell her that everyone is not there for her and now they are only looking at her because she is half hysterical!   Folks,  she gets it from her mother!   I take full responsibility for her actions ;)

So, we now have 30 minutes before Lukes run starts.  We can either stand outside and continue to sweat or go sit in the car with the AC blasting!  We sat in the car until it was time for Lukes run.  I could not believe the difference 30 minutes made.  There was a huge cloud blocking the sun and the wind picked up for a constant breeze, it was a nice change!

Luke was excited to see me and ran his heart out!

Another RFTG in the books...7 more to go!

This year the total amount raised for RFTG was $50, 617.62.  Looks like Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Treadwell will be sleeping on the roof!

Green Girls Gazebo Happy Hour

Nicholette, Sophia, Brielle, Madelyn, Belle and
Walked down to the gazebo for our first happy hour of the year.  Once the weather gets nice we meet at the gazebo after school and let the kiddos play and the mommas have a drink.

When we got there Sophia ran off to play and came back yelling for me to come take a picture of her and her friends... I do not even know who this child is...
