Happy Birthday Sophia!
Sophia Turns 6!
Sophia turns 6 today! She has really come out of her shell and we are so proud of her! I decided to do her birthday at home this year... for some reason :) I asked what she wanted the theme to be and we came up with Bubble Gum. She told me she wanted gumball cupcakes, pin the gumball in the machine, to make necklaces and gumball machines as a craft. Thank goodness for Pinterest! I quickly got to work on all of her things she wanted.
We decided to have her party on Friday at 4:00 just because it works out so well. She got home from school and could not wait for her friends to get here. She could not wait to put on her kitty cat blowing a bubble shirt. She put the shirt on and the tears came flowing. I am pretty sure I just starred at her blankly, I could NOT for the life of me figure out what she could be crying for... until the ugly cry and talking started. Finally I could understand her blubbering and she could not believe that the people who made the shirt WOULD NOT TELL THE LITTLE GIRL THAT THE SLEEVES ARE SO PUFFY, WHY WOULD THEY NOT TELL THE GIRL WHO BOUGHT THE SHIRT THAT THE SLEEVES ARE THIS WAY??? I told her that she needed to pull herself together and she could pick out something else to wear. She got herself together and decided to just wear the puffy sleeves!
She also decided she wanted her skirt with it. She has been asking for "high heels" for a few months now so I got her some for her birthday, she asked if she could wear them and was so excited... less than 4 minutes passes and she is asking if she can take them off because they hurt! HA!

Mimi and Grandma Charlotte came to help mom finish decorating
So, the doorbell rang at 4:00 and I kid you not, ALL 10 girls showed up at the EXACT same time and the shrills started. I am NOT used to girls! Boys are so quiet and reserved. The girls are started screaming each others names and hugging each other.
Sophia wanted to do an individual picture with each girl so we printed one off and slipped it in with their thank you note.
The party was an overall success. No tears or fighting but pretty sure it was the LONGEST two hours of our lives. Our ears were piercing from the screams. No time to waste... we have to clean up and get ready for Atkins party!
Happy birthday Atkins
Scott and Andrea are back in TX and we are so excited to have them back. Scott is Justin's first friend when he moved to TX in elementary school.
Uppy and Patrick came in from Albuquerque and Roger from Austin. So great seeing these guys again. We always have such a great time with them. Uppy, Roger and Justin got to make a business trip out of it to talk about the YANA website that Roger is working on and the logo design Uppy is doing. Can't wait to see it all done!

Winston Meets Remi
Mom and dad brought over Justin's pronghorn to hang so they brought Winston. Every time they come over with him he gets super excited when they turn into the neighborhood... today, was a different story. Winston wanted NOTHING to do with Remi. Look at the look on his face in the second picture, priceless.

Meet Remington
So THIS happened! I NEVER thought I would agree to this. The kids have been asking for years and Justin has always wanted a dog. I opened my mouth and said, "maybe we should THINK about TALKING ABOUT getting a dog", two days later here he is! See if I EVER OPEN MY MOUTH AGAIN!
The first night was HORRIBLE, MISERABLE, TERRIBLE, HORRIFIC, BAD, I could go on and on. Let me just say that an infant is not this much work! We decided to crate train him so he will not destroy everything we own and pee and poop everywhere! So, we had to figure out where we would put his kennel. Unfortunately it was in our room, we figured he needed to be behind closed doors so he would not wake up the ENTIRE house.
We put him in our room and he was NOT happy going in the kennel. He started to bark, whine, yelp, and make 14 other noises I have never in my life heard and it only lasted FOUR hours STRAIGHT, he did not even stop to take a breath. I honestly do not know how he did not wear himself out or go hoarse. FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT PEOPLE, FOUR HOURS!!! He fell asleep for an hour or so and then needed to pee, he went out to pee and when we put him back in the kennel he started round two which was only a little over two hours! Then peed again and then was up for the morning at 5:30. I thought I was going to die the next day. We felt like we had been hit by a mack truck over and over.
I could not wait to see what night two was going to bring! WTH was I thinking of THINKING about it.

When we got home we took him straight to the bath. He smelled like a yeti! He did not really like the bath very much but he better get used to it!

They Do Like Each Other... Sometimes
100th Day Of School
Science Night
Allen had their annual Science Night tonight. This was our first time to go and we have been at Allen for 6 years. The boys never wanted to go but Sophia would not stop talking about it. It started at 6:30, Luke had martial arts at 5:10 and Jonah at 7:00. We took Luke to class, came home and ate dinner and then dropped Jonah off and headed to school.
Sophia wanted to do the bubble and we got a picture. Luke and Seths popped before I could snap the pic.
