Washing Machine Dripping

People... I CANNOT even make this stuff up!  Now that the dishwasher is fixed I kid you not, the washing machine is dripping but at least it is in the drum and not on the floor!  So we are now waiting for the part to get delivered so Justin can fix that!

Remington Surgery

Remi had not eaten in four days and kept throwing up so we decided to take him to the vet.  Seeing as how this is NOT his first rodeo (we are CONSTANTLY pulling stuff out of his mouth on a daily basis) we figured he ate something that was stuck. They did some x rays and saw something and figured it was gas.  They started him on an IV so they could then wait a few hours to x ray again so see if it had moved.  It had NOT moved four hours later so they decided to cut him open to see what was in there.  My poor baby was sliced open and they saw that his intestines and stomach were inflamed and FULL OF GAS!  GAS PEOPLE GAS!!!  So they "moved the gas through" and sewed him back up.   This picture is when he first got home.  Justin and Jonah had to lift him out of the back of the Suburban and he finally walked himself in.  He stood in the same spot for THREE hours!  He would NOT sit or lay down.  It was the saddest thing I ...

Hail!

Image
I knew there were storms heading our way but I had dinner plans with The Mean Girls!  We decided to go ahead and meet up and we were in Frisco Square eating when the storm hit.  All of a sudden all of our phones rang or a text came through that there was golf ball size hail.  Justin had the kids and Remi in the closet because the sirens were going off.   I took Justin's new truck and its a good thing because we only got dime size where we were.  We stayed put until the storm blew over and then headed home.   Justin was worried about his truck getting banged up so he made himself a stiff drink with the hail!   Just a few of the things that the storm got.  The backboard already had a crack in in so I guess the wind got it.   The rocks that were holding the basketball goal down could not even withstand the winds.

Dishwasher Leak

So, every SINGLE day I vacuum.  I am constantly looking at the baseboards and noticed that in less than 24 hours that this baseboard had split.  I kept looking down the way and noticed they were all split on sink wall and then noticed the paint bubbling up.   I open the cabinet under the sink and I start moving stuff out and the smell hits me.   Once I get everything out I see there is mold everywhere!  The dishwasher leaked and everything is wet!   Justin took off the baseboards and got the fan blowing on the wall but noticed the mold so started taking out the sheet rock so we could see where all the mold was.  It was  pretty bad so he sprayed bleach all over it to try and kill it.  We called insurance out and they came and told us that they had to send the cabinet people out to see if we needed to get the cabinets replaced.  Thankfully only the four need to be replaced and the others are fi...

Seth's Ninja Party

Image
Seth wanted a Ninja Party so of course I went to Pinterest to get some ideas.   I used my new machine to cut vinyl for the kids headbands.  Some of the letter "N's" got ironed on backwards but... the kids did not notice :) The party favors, I made notebooks with their names and then of course nunchucks and a foam ninja star. Seth did not want a cake or cupcakes so we made nunchucks with Swiss Cake Rolls and Vines candy. I made rice crispy sushi with Sweedish fish and Fruit By The Foot.   Dominic made paper stars for the kids to decorate and then we had a find your ninja name, a ninja mask craft the kids made, and I made ninja Bingo cards for them to play.  Seth told me that it was the best party ever!  He LOVED it.
