Thanksgiving In Kansas City

We dropped Remington and Winston off at Legacy Dog Resort and then hit the road to Kansas City.  The trip up was puke free for The Mortons!  We did have a close call with Sophia but she was under a blanket and her air vent was closed.  I heard her start crying and she said she did not feel well and grabbed her vomit bag.  After she took the blanket off and opened her vent she was fine.  

We stopped at Braums and it was the same one we stopped at 2 years ago so we did another picture in the same booth  

We had Thanksgiving at Bob and Kathleens and we counted 53 who were there.  We were missing a few but glad we got to see everyone.  The weather was warmer in KC than in Dallas.  

The kids LOVED me for making them take a picture, as you can see, Seth was thrilled.

Friday morning we wanted to eat breakfast at Cascones but they were closed so we headed to Corner Cafe.  The food was great and Carlie got in trouble for not listening to Noah.  He wanted her to spread the butter on his pancake but she cut it.

Justin, Luke, Seth, Sophia and I all slept in the front room on the blow up mattresses.  Jonah slept on the couch and Noah and Claire slept with Mimi and Papa on the floor in their room.

The kids had a blast playing outside since the weather was so nice.  Uncle Ralph got the swings down for them to play.  

Friday afternoon The Sherpy's came over to Aunt Lou and Uncle Ralphs and Uncle Dave brought Italian Sausage and potatoes and we had garlic spaghetti.  Cheryl and Mark could not make it because Cheryl was not feeling well.

On the way home Seth talked for the first 4 hours... his lips NEVER stopped moving... until it went radio silent, I knew he had ether fallen out of the car or fallen asleep.  It only lasted about 35 minutes.  We made it in 9 hours and only stopped 2 times.  The second stop was 35 and 380... we just could not make the last 30 min without a pit stop.

Seth's Kinder Thanksgiving Performance

Seth has been telling me all week that he was NOT going to do his performance... he stuck by his word.  All of his class got up on stage and he was not up there.  I then see Carol flagging me down pointing at Seth on the side of the cafeteria.  I get his attention and he came and sat with me.  After the performance we had lunch together.
