We headed out this afternoon to drop Luke and Sophia at Sky Ranch. Sophia was still so excited. I honestly did not know how drop off would go. It went the total opposite of how I thought it was going to go down THANK GOODNESS! Sophia was giddy the entire trip down.
We caught up with Kate and Taylor and walked to the cabin together. (side note, Sophia has met Kate one time and knows Taylor from school. All of us moms went to high school together and some of us Texas Tech together). Kate and Taylors mom did not know each other but knew who each other was. Such a small world). When we get to the cabin we were looking for their bunks and Sophia's was on the other side of the room from Taylor and Kate, you could see it in their faces that they were sad. I did a quick scan and noticed that the bed beside Taylor did not have a name on it so I asked the counselor if we could move her, she asked someone else and told us we could move her. Crisis diverted!
We got her bed all made up and some pictures on the wall. She really wanted nothing to do with us so we said bye and gave her some lovin' to last all week.
We got Sophia in her cabin so now to drop Luke off. He did not know anyone going this summer but did recognize someone in his cabin from last year. He was on a top bunk so I made him crawl up and make the bed. Of course he was a man of few words so we said goodbye and headed home.
