Elite Eight to FINAL FOUR Texas Tech

Yar came over to watch the Tech vs. Gonzaga game.  I have NEVER been a basketball fan but sat and watched the game with them.  I was on the edge of my seat.  It was a great game and we are headed to the FINAL FOUR!  

Jonah's First Bow Hunt With Papa

Jonah and dad headed to London, TX for Jonah's first bow hunt.  Jonah missed school Friday so they could head out of town.  Jonah got a black ram and Papa had a shot but could not find it even after hours of tracking it.

Dakota Enlisted

Dakota enlisted in the Army today.  We are so proud of him and cannot wait to see what his future holds.  

P!NK

We all gave mom tickets to P!NK Beautiful Trauma Tour.  I took one for the team and went with her.  She was AMAZING and I was so excited she sang her new song, Walk Me Home.  

Allen Art Night

Allen had their Family Art Night tonight.  We came straight from Seth's soccer practice and they go tot painting.  Sophia was upset that her unicorn turned out terrible, I thought she did a pretty good job but she decided to do another blank canvas.  She decided to do the mountains with a sunrise and us skiing. 

Seth did a sport theme and a sunrise.

Spring Break Day 7 Heading Home

We hit the road at 6:00 and Sophia was not feeling well about 30 min. into the drive.  She started throwing up and did so a few times.  It was not a lot but she was miserable.  We stopped for a bathroom break and while Carlie was feeding Brooke the kids ran around to get some energy out.  

Poor Sophia did not talk for the first 6 hours of the trip.  I must say it was nice not having her and Seth argue.  After we stopped for lunch at Subway (which was a nightmare) we got back on the road and obviously Sophia was back to normal... she would NOT stop talking.  They would both close their eyes and take a little cat nap but never more that 30 min.   

We watched the sun rise and we watched it set!  The drive was not bad and we made it home in right at 14 hours!  Remington and Winston were so happy to see us!  

Spring Break Day 6

After we packed our lunches we headed out to hit the slopes for the last runs of the trip!  We headed out early so we could ski all day... if the kids could hang.  It was -1 and felt like -12.  It was going to be a sunny day and high of 34 so it was going to be great!  

Everyone was ready to hit the slopes and were all smiles!   We got up to the top and Carlie was a little nervous because once again Justin took us up to the way top and it was blues until you hit the greens.  Carlie said, that she was with Seth, could she just live her life up there.  LOL  She at one point said she was taking her skis off and walking down.  She told Nic to leave her alone and go ahead with Noah. I ended up staying with Carlie so she could follow me down.  I would go in a big S and slow so she could trail me.  The boys went on ahead with the kids.  

It was lunch time so Nic and Carlie headed down to feed Brooke.  Noah stayed with us and we ate lunch and when we were heading back up there was only a two man chair but there were 5 of us.  We asked who wanted to ride solo or ride with someone else... Sophia said she would but her face and voice said she did not!  Noah said that he would.  Justin went first so he could be up top when Noah got off the lift and I went behind him.  I looked up and Noah had his head resting on this guys shoulder.  LOL

We ski down and it is time to get back on the lift.  Sophia said she wanted to go alone... she did and was SO proud of herself.  Well that opened up a can of worms and Seth decided he wanted to go alone.  I told him that they could ride together.  They did and were SO EXCITED!  

We met back up with Nic and Carlie and went and did more runs.  It was now 4:00 and the last  lift was heading up.  We decided to ski all the way down to the parking lot.  It was a  fun run!  The kids enjoyed it until we got to the bottom and had to pop off our skis and walk down 2 flights of stairs.

We got to the trucks and loaded all the skis and boots in one and Justin and Nic went to return them all while Carlie and I headed back to the house with the kids.  

Jonah and Luke did not ski with us today.  Jonah was hurting and Luke does not like to ski.  

The Zebra bow... Claire was looking for her zebra bow and was very upset she could not find it.  She said that she was NOT leaving CO until she found it.  Dominic found it in his truck as we were loading up the trucks that night so we could hit the road at 6:00 in the morning since we were driving straight through.  

Spring Break Day 5

Today was our rest day and it was going to be the coldest so we just hung out around the house and then ventured out into town to get the kids some sweatshirts and momma a Starbucks!  The kids went out to play in the snow and Seth and Noah had so much fun shoveling snow.  Dad made his chicken noodle soup and his friend came over to eat dinner with us.  

Spring Break Day 4

We woke up to 6 inches of snow and it snowed ALL day long!  It felt like it was 10 degrees and the wind was 19 mph.  Justin decided to take us up a different lift that would take us to green runs via BLUE!  Seth and Sophia were in tears and so mad.  They did great but I think they just thought they could not do it but they really did pretty good.  At one point Seth fell and cried and said, "Can I just live my life up here".  I gave him a little pep talk and so he got up and we headed down.  I could not help but laugh. 

Nic and Carlie were meeting Papa at the bottom of Peak 8 so Carlie could feed Brooke so we took Noah back up with us.  We took a lunch break and ate our PB&J's and then met back up with Nic and Carlie.
