Sophia Social Intelligence Award

Every month the teacher decides on a student in their classroom to get an award, this month was the Social Intelligence Award.  Mrs. Schaivo sent me an email to let me know that Sophia would be receiving this award and it was a surprise.  I of course would not miss it for the world.  I never go to GMA because the kids always ask me not to go.  

I was not going to tell them that I was going but of course the reminder on my phone went off and Sophia was sitting right there and saw it.  She asked if I was going and then asked if Seth was getting an award.  I played dumb and said, "y'all get awards at GMA".  So, I dropped them off at school and stayed for GMA.  She said she still had NO clue she was getting it.  

I have a video of Mrs. Schiavo announcing Sophia saying that she is a leader in their class, a role model to others and shows respect for others and their feelings.  As Sophia's name is called I pan over to video her and I see Seth with his arms in the air cheering his big sister on!  He was SO excited for her.  So proud of Sophia!
