Swim Fun.

Image
Summer has started!  We are allowing more friends to come over now that the world is finally opening back up.  Ben came over to play with Seth and Sophia went to Harpers.  Then they switched houses.  Seth took off over to Bens and Harper came here.  Let the fun begin!

Mom Heads To The ER

I really wish 2020 was OVER with.  Can we have a redo?  Dad called this morning and said he had to drop mom at the ER and leave her because he could not stay.  A few hours later they called him to come get her, she has a 5mm kidney stone right next to her bladder.  They sent her home with some meds and said it should pass in a couple of days.  Stef said Dakota is on 30 min. standby due to all the riots happening.  Not sure what is going on in this world but I am over it.  Prayers to all who are deployed and will be.

Space X And A Crazy Saturday

Image
This morning at 11:00 the Snow cone truck came so Sophia and I walked down to the gazebo to get one.  Maggie showed up and we saw The Fagans.  Had to rush home to get on Zoom to watch Claire's dance recital.  Sophia and Maggie swam and then we got to watch history being made with the SpaceX launch.  That was pretty cool to watch and the kids liked it too.

Luke's Boys

Image
Luke asked if his 'boys' could come over so we made that happen.  They came over at 3:00 and swam for a while and then ended up spending the night.  They are all clones of each other :)  Brett, Jaden, Landon, Alec, Luke and Trevor.

Last Day Of eLearning Swim Party

Image
The world has started opening back up little by little so we decided to carry on the tradition of the last day of school swim party.  This was a last minute decision so there was no invitation just a last minute text inviting everyone to come if they felt comfortable.  I set up a table outside in the garage of food and snacks so the kids stayed outside.  We put the "summer" sign back up and I ran and picked up some beach balls and that is it.  Not the normal party planning I do but it all worked out.  I think the kids were just excited to see everyone.  They were all so excited when Ms. Lowrey and Lilly showed up to swim with them.   Maggie, Lilly, Sophia, Elyse, Harper, Keira, Brandon, Madelyn, Nicolette, Belle and Brielle Ben, Landon, Seth and Tate

Last Day Of eLearning 2nd, 4th, 9th and 10th Grade

Image
This is NOT how we expected to end the school year.  Sophia is on her last Zoom call and Seth is showing his award of Mr. Computer Whiz.  Just like that I have a 3rd, 5th, 10, and 11th grader.  Fingers crossed we get to go to school in the Fall.  We found out that both of Sophia's teachers are not coming back in the fall. one is moving and the other one is having a baby.  The bigs finished school a few days early because teachers were not posting assignments.

Saving The Turtle

Image
Seth found a turtle in the middle of the road on his way to Hudson's house.  We had to take him to the creek to 'save him'.

Running Buddy

Justin cannot stretch without Remington being right under his feet.  He is NOT going to let daddy go run without him!

Pick Up School Stuff From Allen

Image
It was another sad day... we went to pick up the kids stuff that was left at school when they left for Spring Break.  Little did we know that we would NOT be returning for the rest of the year.  We had to drive through with all school items in a bag in the back of the car with their names on it.  The teachers were lined up with masks ready to return the kids belongings that were in their classroom.

Happy 15th Birthday Lukie!

Image
Cannot believe Luke is 15!  He woke up to streamers on his door, a bag of his favorite donuts and his gifts.  Cousins came by to wish him a happy birthday.  For dinner he had sushi.

Fishing With Pops and Uncle Ronnie

Image
Ronnie and the boys met Pops out at Lake Lavon to go fishing.  They had to leave at 5:30 so they could meet Pops at 6:00.  They fished until noon and only two.  Jonah learned how to cast a net and catch their bait.  They might not have caught many fish but they made some memories!

Coronavirus Nights

Image
The last few months we have been spending A LOT of time outside with the neighbors.  The kids ride bikes, scooters and drive their cars.  When Phillip saw Mr. Justin roll up in the Enterprise truck he HAD to go for a ride.   Phillip then saw Mr. John mowing his lawn so he ran and got him mower to help.  Then of course the kids have to have an ice pop.
