Sophia Turns 11

Sophia woke up 11 years old today!  She was so excited that she got a phone!  She wanted another sleepover this year.  She was so excited to give the girls their pillowcases that she made specifically for them.  We celebrated Carlie, Dominic and I's birthday as at Mimi and Papa's as well.  

SNOVID IS OVER!!!

Now that that crazy has left Texas it is SEVENTY TWO DEGREES today!  The pool is clear and the equipment looks like it made it through!  Sophia and Brielle were invited to go and skate with Courtney's Bliss Models again this year.  They always love going.  

I was finally able to start doing laundry again today now that the power is back on and the pipes are not frozen!

 

The Ghost

Found this in the bathroom drawer... no one claimed it, along with the spoon I found a few weeks ago.  Guess the ghost was hungry. 

SNOVID Day 7

The pool is FINALLY liquid again!  WOOHOO.  Claire insisted that Carlie send me this pic of her tooth hanging on by a thread.  

 

SNOVID Day 6

We are beyond OVER IT!  IF you can get out to the store the shelves are empty.  It is finally warming up and melting off.  I have blisters on my hands from breaking the ice multiple times a day.  I did find a chunk of ice that looked like an arrow head so I sent it to Ralphie.  

SNOVID Day 4 and 5

Another day of breaking ice in the pool... I may or may not have dropped the shovel in the deep end while breaking it up :)  We were back out on the hill with friends sledding.  

SNOVID Day 3

I went out multiple times a day to break up the ice in the pool so it would not expand and pop off the tile and to make sure the jets and fountains could still run so the water would not stop moving and freeze the pipes.  The kids went to sled again, Luke came down to warm up by the fire and I caught Jonah reading Diary Of A Wimpy Kid.  

 

SNOVID Day 2

Woke up to the pool frozen.  It was 5 degrees and felt like NEGATIVE 14.  The kids wanted to go sled again and it was SOOOOO cold!  I was scared Remington was going to walk into the pool so I had to go out with him.
