SNOVID
We prepared for a little snow for the week but we had NO IDEA what we were in for! We went to the store and bought enough to prepare 2 meals a day for the week. Little did we know that we would have NO POWER to cook! The power would come on for 20 min. then off for an hour. This continued for a few days. Mom and dad went without power for 10 hours and pulled a mattress in front of the fireplace to sleep. Dominic and Carlie never lost power. Mom and dad did not want to leave the house in case a pipe burst or something happened with the pool. Ron and Nina lost power for almost 24 hours.
We wrapped the pool pipes and put a tarp over the equipment and kept our fingers crossed! Since we had no power Justin went and grilled out. I had all the faucets dripping and cabinet doors open. I was so tired of going behind everyone and turning the faucets BACK to dripping every time they would turn the water off and everyone would shut the cabinet doors. COME ONE PEOPLE. My favorite was when on the 4th day Justin at 10:00pm said maybe we should drip the faucets. I told him to come run his face into my hand... HELLO, what do you think I have been doing for FOUR days.
There was rumor that water was going to be shut off so I filled all the bathtubs and had every water bottle and thermas filled with water.
I also had tubs and towels ready in case a pipe burst, along with the key to the water shut off by the front door.
Happy Valentines Day kiddos! Before the storm I went out to get the kids their Valentine Day goodies. Justin went and got Sugar Bear flowers and she LOVED them. Every year Justin gets her flowers and we remind the boys that not all girls like flowers ie. their momma!
Not even sure about what is going on... last week I found a spoon in this bathroom drawer and today, a fork. NO ONE knows how it got in there.
