Wrestling and Soccer Saturday

Jonah had to be at school at 7:00 this morning for a wrestling match that started at 9:00.  We took Seth with us so we could head out early to get him to his soccer game in Plano.  We got there right at 9:00 and all the wrestlers were on the mat... Jonah was face down sleeping.  At 9:23 they lined up for nail check and weigh ins.  I am not real sure what they got there so early for on a Sat. if they had not done that yet.  After weigh ins Jonah came up to us to tell us he would NOT be wrestling today because there wasn't anyone in his weight class.  We left and headed to Seth's game.  Jonah did not get home until after 7:00 that night... he had to sit ALL DAY and did not even get to wrestle.  

 

Basketball

Meemaw and Pops made it out to the basketball game today.  The boys had a great game!  

Could not pass up the photo op of Fagan on Seth's motorcycle and him trying to get Sophia to learn a dance on Tik Tok.

 

Jackson Fisher

Last night Luke lost his friend Jackson.  Luke was asked to be a pallbearer along with Nico and David.  I know this had to be one of the hardest things these boys have ever had to do at the age of 15.  The service was beautiful.  After the funeral the boys all headed over to Daniel's house later that night and had a memorial for him.  Robin had balloons and had the boys write a message to Jackson and then they attached the note to the balloon and let them go.  Robin said that they were talking to each other, crying then laughing and crying some more.  So grateful that Luke has these friends to talk to.

Daddy Daughter Dance

We did not think the Daddy Daughter Dance would happen this year with COVID but they made it happen!  The girls and dads said it was the best one yet!  This year it was outside at the Toyota Soccer Stadium.  The girls danced and danced.  We all met up at Jenny's for pictures and snacks.  

 

Sophia 5th Grade Camp

So OVER COVID!  The 5th graders could not go on their 5th grade campout this year so they went to a day camp instead.  Sophia was not really impressed, said it was kind of boring.  

 

Seth: Multiplication Master

Seth has been working hard on his multiplication facts.  He FINALLY DID IT!  So proud of him.  

 

Seth Getting Teeth Pulled For Braces

Started the first steps of getting Seth ready for braces.  He went in to see Jeff and got two teeth pulled.  He was nervous but ok... until he wasn't!  Jeff came out and told me that it was NOT HAPPENING, Seth would not even let Jeff put the chair back!   I told him to send Seth back out and that I was not going to make him do it if he was that upset.  Jeff went back in and never came back, I looked back there and the chair was going back and Jeff gloved up!  10 min. later Seth walked out with a face full of gauze.  He was feeling pretty good saying that he saw all kinds of colors and proceeded to tell me all of them.  

I later asked Seth what made him change his mind and he told me that he said to himself, "Seth, you got this, just do it".  So proud of him!

We had to go back the next week and have the last two pulled.  He said he was nervous but knew what to expect.  

   

 

Jonah's Truck Radio

Jonah's radio was not working in his truck so he started watching Youtube videos to see if he could fix it.  Justin had been watching some too.  They went out and pulled the radio out and Justin was thinking it was a fuse but that was not it.  Jonah had seen a video where the guy took out the radio and then put it in the oven... yes, the oven!  They thought they should give it a try.  Well... IT WORKED!  The soldering re-melted and it works!  

 

The Day After...

The morning after you get home from being gone for a week is always fun!  I only did 8 loads of laundry, so glad I did some before we packed up to head home.  Of course Seth could not wait to ride his new motorcycle that he got for his birthday.  Justin went out to start putting it together.  Jonah and Luke cleaned the pool, Luke saw me taking a pic so he pulled his pants down... he is a nut!

 

Spring Break: Heading Home

We got up this morning and put the last minute stuff in the trucks and headed home!  The roads were not wonderful so we took it slow on the way down the mountain.  Sophia was not feeling well so she got in the truck with Justin and I and Seth went with Mimi and Papa.  She got sick a couple of times and slept for a while.  Sweet Remington was checking on her.  We stopped 5 times and made it home in 14 hours and 1 min.  We drove straight through so we could just get home.  Justin got a call from work so we had to pull over and switch drivers so I only drove a couple of hours until we stopped for lunch.  

We could not wait to get home because Jonah's flight from Vail would be landing and he would be home right after we were to arrive.  I could not wait to squeeze is neck and hear all about his trip!

 

Spring Break Day Six

Today was the last day on the slopes!  The kids were soaking it all in!  Sophia and Claire decided to do a blue run with the dads and Noah.  They had a blast!  I stuck with Seth and Carlie on the greens.  I always hate the last day and the last run, the slopes are my happy place!  

Spring Break Day Five: Rest Day

Today was a rest day for the ones skiing so mom and dad went snowmobiling.  We woke up to a few inches of snow and it was going to to continue to snow most of the day!  Mom and dad headed out in the blizzard and headed up to snowmobile.  They had a great time even though they could not go all the way up because you would not have been able to see because of the snow.  

When mom and dad got back we decided to take our annual shirt pic... even Flat Jonah made it in the pic.  We went in to town and got the kids a sweatshirt.  Justin stayed back at the house to work so Luke, Sophia and I went out.  I was a nervous wreck driving on the snow filled roads.  I was in Justin's truck and I had to raise the seat because I could not see over the snow on the hood of the truck... Luke laughed at me and called me shorty.
