Aunt Jo
Although Christmas morning hit a little different this year what an AMAZING day it was! Aunt Jo went to sleep Christmas Eve and woke up on her FAVORITE Day of the year in her eternal home in the arms of Jesus. Today we gathered to celebrate her wonderful life. So many amazing things to say about her! Everyone deserves an Aunt Jo in their life. Her service could not have been more perfect! Susan and Judy got up and spoke and they did a great job. Aunt Jo started writing her obituary and made notes on what she wanted. Aunt Jo even said to put "Aunt Jo" and not her name... she never liked her name, Nettie.
After her service we went to Restland to lay her to rest and all her great, greats layed a rose on her casket. She was so proud of all of us and never failed to tell us that! She will be missed but never forgotten. Leslie has offered to continue making the Christmas Stockings and we will all pitch in to help.
My favorite thing besides hanging out stockings every year was the first week of January and the Christmas Letter would come in the mail. Aunt Jo always hand wrote the letters and would include a personal note on them. Until next time...
