First Cheer Game Of The Season

Image
When I tell you it has not rained in MONTHS and our fist game has a rain delay.  The girls were at the field at 5:30 and the game was on lightning delay.  We had to go sit in our cars and wait... after 3 lightning delays the game FINALLY started about 2 hours late.

Allen Glow Party

Allen had their Glow Party at school tonight.  The gym was blacked out with glow things everywhere.  There was a soccer goal out back so of course that is where Seth was!

Luke's First Job: I Fratelli

Luke got a job making the "za" at I Fratelli.  Luke makes the pizzas and works his butt off!  I think he is liking that paycheck.

Move In Day For Jonah

Image
We picked a 4:00 move in time slot so we could get up and drive to Lubbock that morning so we only needed a hotel for one night.  We were looking at a wet drive the entire way there.  We packed all his stuff in trash bags inside the crates.  We rolled in about 45 min. from our move in time and there was a break in the rain.  They told us to come back in 45 min.  We went and drove around the campus and then headed back to unload the trucks and as we were pulling in to the parking lot the sky opened up and started POURING.  The boys jumped out and started getting the crates out of the truck and Jonah ran in to get a cart.  We all got soaked and had a good laugh.  We could have waited it out but would have been waiting a while so went with it.   Walking in to the dorm was a time warp.  It was so familiar yet so different.  As we make our way up the elevator we get off and the memories come flooding back.  We were about to mov...

Dorm Shelving

Image
For a few months now I have asked Jonah to be thinking about his dorm and what he would like.  Of course he said a pillow, blanket and his computer.  I was showing him ideas of what he could do and what options for "decor" of storage would look like.  Momma knows because I LIVED in a room just like it!  So, I showed him this really cool shelving unit that could go above his bed.  He liked it but did not find it necessary... until he did!  A week before we were packing up and moving Jonah came down and said, "I know I said no to those shelves and it is probably too late but they are really cool"  I told him I knew a guy!   Needless to say, they next morning Jonah went over to Papa's and got busy building and painting shelves for his room.  They did it in a matter of hours and Jonah had a fun time with Papa, in fact I am not sure who had more fun, Jonah or Papa.   Time for momma to get busy with what we can put on the shelves....

Lubbock Move Prep

Image
Getting Jonah ready for the move to the dorm.  Since Jonah decided last minute that he wanted shelves I needed to have some things for those shelves.  I had some pictures printed off so we could set those out and then I printed some funny pics off, wrote on them in Sharpie and hid them around his room so he would randomly find them.  I also got my Silhouette machine busy with making some decor for the walls.  Mimi helped make the curtains the correct length and I got busy on the bulletin board cover.  Jonah took the littles for ice cream before he headed out.   Of course the fridge decided to go out the NIGHT BEFORE we were leaving for Lubbock.  I grabbed as much as I could and put it in the deep freeze in the garage and the rest over to Fagans to put in their fridge.
