My Own Globe Tree

In the 1980's my mom made Aunt Jo this globe tree.  I always loved it and Aunt Jo had it out EVERY single year.  Mom made blocks that spelled out all the cousins names under the tree and then wrote the to and from on the packages under the tree all to Aunt Jo.  Aunt Jo eventually made all the cousins a tree like this and gave it to them.  My mom said that for years she has wanted to make one for us kids.  Well... she did!  

I went over to mom and dads and saw one sitting on the sofa table and teared up and as I got closer I saw that it was a new one that had my sisters name on it and not far sat Aunt Jo's.  Mom told me she was making one for each of us kids.  I was beyond excited and hope to one day carry on this tradition with my kiddos.
