Pinterest... I WILL BEAT YOU!

Image
As I have mentioned before, Pinterest is my new crack... I just KNEW that when I saw this cute magnet board I was going to make it for someone. The directions were super easy, get a cookie sheet, spray paint it, drill a couple of holes and hang with a ribbon. Soooooo, I went and got the cookie sheets, Justin painted them and and they turned out HORRIBLE! The paint ran and then proceeded to chip off. There goes $5. So, on to the next type of tray, buy it and paint it and it looks AWESOME! Only problem is... its aluminum and guess what folks! MAGNETS WON'T STICK TO ALUMINUM!!! There goes $8... Back to square one, I was GOING to make this work, I had already made the magnets after all. So I headed to Target and bought a frame then headed to Lowes to get some tin. This time I was going to cut the tin to fit the frame and BE DONE! YEA!!! It worked. I was so super excited. Even if I did cut myself three times with the tin from the store to the car. It was SO worth it!

Luke's drawing

Luke drew a picture of their duck hunt from last week. Justin said its pretty dead on with the pond and where they were hunting.

Morton, Henley, Yar and Sherpy get together

Image
The Henleys, Sherpys and Yars came over last night for dinner and to exchange gifts. This is the first year that we have not done jammies for all the kiddos. Yes, Luke has his on but that is how he rolls! Noah was eating when we took the picture and we forgot to take another one... poor Noah!

The Mean Girls

Image
We had an impromptu get together with The Mean Girls. Kept it simple, ordered pizza and hung out for a couple of hours. We are real party animals... everyone was gone by 7:30 :) We missed the ones that could not make it!

Polar Express party at The Yars

Image
Tonight the kids put on their jammies and we headed over to The Yars for a Polar Express watching/Cookie Exchange party. The kids enjoyed hot chocolate and junk food while watching the movie and the parents loaded up their cookie boxes. Of course when we got home the boys were wired so we let them stay up and watch some old school Christmas Classics that mommy and daddy watched growing up.

Last day of school before Christmas Break

Image
Justin's vacation started today so we surprised the boys at school during lunch. Luke was excited and Jonah, well... a second grader. They had been asking me for a few weeks when I could come and eat with them so I thought today would be perfect since Justin was off. We headed back up to the school for their "winter" parties an hour later.

Hunt

Justin and Chad headed out to 380 this morning for a little hunting. They limited out by 7:48 with Gadwalls, Ring necks, and Justin's first Canvasback Drake.
